Has anyone found pics of the non-carbon wheels? I assume they're going to be similar to the carbon ones, but all the cars I've seen so far have the track pack.

Hopefully they are lighter than the PP2 mustang wheels, which look fantastic, but weigh over 30lbs. That is heavy specially when the PP2 is aimed at road course duties.

They are pretty damn heavy, 60 lbs heavier than the carbons. Also the head engineer said the 20” carbons are the same weight as the R’s 19” carbons.

I do like the fact they went with exposed carbon this time around. I'm of the mindset that if you have carbon, why cover it up? I am rather impressed they managed to keep the weight the same even with a much bigger wheel. Do you know if Carbon Revolutions is supplying these bad boys too, or did they go with a new vendor this time?

Yes, Carbon revolution is still the supplier

The non carbon wheels are flow formed.
They can still be heavy

The best money to spend is to reduce rotational weight. Like Clutch flywheel, or driveshaft. Those wheels could cost $1,000 each.

We’re you able to get any idea on the overall weight of the car? Or the weight saved with the carbon package?
It is confirmed it will be over 3,800 lbs. Sources are saying expect between 3,900-4,000 lbs. Could possibly tip the scale at over 4,000 lbs as well..

Very true except these wheels are going to be more than $5k a piece. They’re just as light as the R’s and are an 1” larger in diameter.. let’s not forget exposed carbon as well

Honestly that doesn’t seem that bad, for a while I was reading 4100+ or worse and was getting real worried. If the “base” is like 4K-4050 that’s not as bad as I was thinking. The CF package probably drops it to like 3900. That’s light compared to a redeye that weighs 4500+!!!

I’m curious to as how much the carbon fiber package will drop. With the carbon wheels, rear seat delete and carbon driveshaft (I believe the cf driveshaft will be standard) you’re looking at a little over 100 lbs in weight reduction. I don’t foresee that big wing giving much of a weight reduction

I agree standard CF driveshaft and I don’t think the big wing will have much savings. Most of the weight saved is the wheels and rear seat delete. And unfortunately most wont track with those wheels so really not that much savings! I’m feeling optimistic so I’ll go 4010 for base and 3905 for CF package.
