Why get rid of the Vett?
Because I could do it and get the 350 for $2277 under MSRP.
They were selling the 350 @ MSRP. Why not ? Everything I read about the 350 made it sound great. Hell I made money on the Vette. The big difference on the street was the Vette makes all its torque between 1500/6000 rpm. And the 350 is 3600/8000 rpm. Punch the Vette from a light and it's immediate blast of power. The 350 is geared for the track with its torque curve.

The C7 is a pretty amazing car, I wish I had personal experience with the GT350 and/or GT350R because I also love that car, and I'm sure it is an absolute blast to drive on the track.

With that being said, I had a 2013 Camaro ZL1, modified with suspension, 305 square tire set up, huge front aero splitter that I could and would stand on (210 lbs), wicker extension, brakes, and made 575 rwhp. I sold that back in February and bought a 2016 C7 2LT Z51 7 Speed Manual, only thing I've done to the car was change out pads (I cooked the OEM pads first track event) and brake fluid and depending on the track I'm running anywhere from 1-4 seconds faster per lap than my old highly modified ZL1. Both vehicles I use NT01 tires.

The ONLY down side of the manual C7 Z51 is that if you're fast enough and it's hot enough outside you'll melt the AFM actuators (I've done it once already, in 95* ambient temps) which are butterfly valves that sit in front of the mufflers. It is replaced under warranty but it is a PITA. The only work around is if you cut that section of pipe out and weld in a piece of pipe and then metal zip tie the ~4" section of pipe with the AFM actuators to it. Tadge acknowledged that it is a problem in the sense that he said they will be removed from the MY17 Z51 manuals (Z06's never had them). It is a design flaw but also has a work around.

Anyways, if you have a chance to get a C7 Z51, C7 Grandsport or GT350/350R I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I've driven both a GT350 (tech pack) and C7 with Z51/MSRC on the same winding back roads. Both great cars, both great choices for different reasons. I honestly preferred the C7, however, and so I'm now planning on getting a C7 GS in 3 years time. My wife will allow that. What she doesn't know yet is I first plan on buying a 2018 Mustang GT as my daily :D.

Oh, and did you hear the news that for 2017, the M7 C7s will do away with the AFM valves altogether?

I agree. I wish they hadn't done the Alice Cooper rear tail lights, and the reflectors behind the rear wheels are way too big, but those are just nit picks. Overall it is very good looking.

I'm assuming there won't be a fix either for the previous year models?

Mrs.Pill and I were looking at some '16's last weekend. If the GT350 didn't exist, I'd be driving a C7.
If the C7 Z51 didn't exist I'd be driving a GT350.

Dont you own or at one point had a 16 Camaro? And you have a red GT350 in your sig, but now you own a C7?
Did you turn your cars around every 2 months or own both a gt350 and a c7?
