Guys, I have a GT350R that just finished production and it awaiting shipment. Scheduled for delivery 8/23/17. My friend Goti who works at the SVT facility in MI suggested I jump on the forum to gather info for this build.

I just got rid of a GT500 with a 4.5 Whipple. Having done some research on the pistons and rods, kinda thinking about installing a Procharger F1A and putting it on E85. Should be a fun build.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum

Lots of good scoop here if you look for it. Don't know how long you have been waiting, but many of us waited a VERY long time (my 17R took 14 months order to delivery).

Good luck with your new ride. Be sure to post lots of pix! :ford:

Welcome aboard! Pistons and rods should handle quite a bit of power, but be sure and replace the oil pump gears and crank sprocket. Those are 2 known weak points of boosted 5.0 and 5.2 engines.

I'll be anxious to see how this engine likes an F1A, good luck!!

Thanks. I ordered this car in April of 2016 so my wait has been about the same, 16 months. Good thing we have other toys to keep us entertained!

Welcome. My next R has the same build date. You should have a VIN by now. Would you mind asking Gotti to keep an eye on my car too? :D

Lots of good folks here and great information.

See ya around

More than "keeping an eye" definitely reach out to him on the other forum. I happen to know exactly where mine sits this weekend...and maybe what it looks like too ;)

Haha, can I chime in with my vin as well? Probably to much to ask but thought I would ask anyway. Let me know if that's cool, mine is still in order processing, 45 days delivery...
