If it’s a straight line monster, I’m not so sure it will be as many ship jumpers! As “pony cars” evolve, they are becoming comparable to exotics. After all....the Voodoo engine was loosely based on the Ferrari Italia. The days of straight line dragsters being the it car are kind of over. Enthusiasts was all around Perfomance.

I think it's going to be batshit. 7 speed DCT and it will handle just as well as the 350. Massive rubber, enormous brakes, very smart stuff on board.

The 350 punched up there with porsches costing 2-4x as much. I'm loving it! My car and the old 500 had a wagon axle, for pete's sake!

Heh, I think it might be 17, but who knows, I periodically review the inventory levels. They must be shipping a few elsewhere. I suspect all of western Canada, maybe even the entire country is drawing on the same inventory. Like I said, do a search in Alberta on Kijiji for GT350, you'll take some time to scroll through them all. I wonder what the 2016's sold for that were still around a few weeks ago?!!

I'm hoping to find a car owned by an enthusiast who actually drove it, with a few nicks, for a very reasonable price. I can't tell if the warranty is transferable, would be good to get one with a little time left to squash any overhanging issues. I was having the crappy rearend rebuilt on my current car with 100 km left. Then I installed the blower. And now I have a truetrac...
It was 22 cars a short while ago unless their website was not updated recently.

Not sure what you mean by everyone in Western Canada drawing on the same inventory as that is not how it works.

Each of the ~35 SVT dealerships in Canada typically can receive up to 15 regular GT350's for every R model allocation with most SVT dealerships taking the maximum of 15 and with a few others taking less.

Some of the larger volume dealerships have been getting up to 4 or 5 R model allocations with the smaller dealerships only getting 2 R's.

Just over a week ago I had a dealership in Western Canada offer me a 2018 R model at MSRP and could order it anyway that I wanted but politely declined their generous offer.

Subject to your financial situation you might want to look at a new R model in Canada versus a regular GT350 based on the difference in price of only ~$6,000 between a regular GT350 that comes with a Convenience Package or Electronic Package versus a 920A base R model.

Lastly, I would not count of the majority of GT350/R owners jumping over to the new GT500 as I do not see that happening.

Well probably only 20%. That's plenty.

I'm never going to take the car to a track, I'd like a back seat. Haven't looked into how that works wrt r and non r. Also I want all of the features and a stereo.

I'll test drive as soon as it warms up.
