Install is pretty straight forward. Transferring the switches is a bit tedious but not very difficult. Took me less then 30 mins to change the wheel. Keep in mind I build custom cars for a living, so a steering wheel is on the easy end of things.

Do you ship internationally? (specifically Australia) I will be buying this in the coming months, also will you be getting the shifter knob?

alcantara will show wear if you sweat easily very fast. I have sim racing rims that have alcantara and it's best to wear gloves...or that alcantara soaks the sweat right up and you'll see exactly where your hands are.

but

95% of us aren't racing or being aggressive with the wheel causing us to sweat so it shouldn't be as bad but if you want that wheel to remain perfect, alcantara needs gloves...or don't drive it.

Might seem like a weird question... But did you see any previsions for the auto paddle shifter buttons? Have you taken apart an auto steering wheel to see where the paddles mount? Do they mount to the inner metal frame of the wheel or to the plastic trim on the back of the wheel?

Thanks!

Thanks!

I have not taken apart an auto wheel, but it is unusual for Ford to spend the money to produce two wheels. The wheel comes with the rear plastic separate, so I suspect you could use the stock rear plastic covers and paddle mounts. Won't know 100% until I do one though.

That is what I am hoping for. To keep manufacturing costs low they probably mounted the paddle shifters to the rear plastic panel/trim. I need someone to take a hit for the team and take their auto wheel apart as I don't want to do mine...

Speaking of tearing the wheel down. How do you remove the airbag on the new 15's? On the 10-14's it was as simple as removing two bolts (which are not present on the 15)

It is held in by two spring tabs. Use a long punch into the small holes on either side of the wheel to push the springs and pull it off.

I haven't heard from my guy yet, I'm wondering if he actually placed the order for me...
