Anyone have both or have driven both? Impressions? If you had to pick one which would you go with?:

It depends on what you want. You have a GT500 CFTP, so you don't need a "more capable" track car. You have one already.

That said, you also show an E39 M5. I've had two of those and I now drive a GT350 at track events. The things I've read about the Mach 1 remind me of the E39 M5. A boulevardier with style, but not something to throw up against Porsche's.

So, what's your purpose? Chasing Porsche's? You'll need a GT350. Rolling with the Benz's? A Mach 1 will serve you well.

Thanks for the reply. I’m looking for a manual equipped Mustang that will see more street use than anything.

Driven both, own Mach 1 with 6 speed. Can't say enough good things about the Mach 1. Great ever day car, the
GT-350 is a different animal. Race the GT-500 cruise in the Mach 1

I own a GT350 and love the Mach 1.
I priced out a Mach 1 before deciding on my Shelby.
Loaded up it was just a few thousand less than I got the Shelby for.

Now I understand you are looking at used GT350s. Unfortunately the used market is driving GT350 prices even higher, and makes the Mach 1 a better choice IMO.

Either way you'll have a great Mustang.

I was waiting for the dealers to take orders for the Mach 1 when I bought the GT350. I think I got impatient. I don't know why, but I'm glad I did. But I also have that sneaky suspicion had I got the Mach 1, I'd be glad I did. Likely, it's a decision that has no regret either way.

I spent several months last summer with the same decision. Since it would be your street car, Mach 1. The torque curve is noticeably more powerful when you're on 35-50 mph roads. One of the very first impressions I had of the GT350 was that I had expected it to feel more powerful, but it was in normal street driving. Very hard to constantly be driving it above 4000 rpm on the street, and take advantage of what seems to be everyone's favorite feature of the GT350, the 8250 redline. Between that and the fact that all available 2016-18 GT350's were thousands more than a new Mach with a full warranty, I went with the Mach. Would have preferred a 2019-2020 GT350 because of the engine but those were $8K+ more than the Mach, again with miles on them and less warranty coverage.

The Mach 1 is pretty clearly the best development of the GT but not even taking into account the Voodoo, the model specific front clip gives the Shelby a different enough look to make it my choice between the two. I can imagine the greater torque of the Coyote may be desirable for street driving but I daily my GT350 and don’t ever find it inadequate.

Well, I can tell you as much as I love the power of the GT500 CFTP, I hate the recaros. I want to row my own gears as well so I’ve been looking into the Mach1/350. Not concerned with a backseat as my kids are older now. The other thing, I can get into a 350 now versus waiting for a HP Mach1 in late spring. First world problems, I know! :D

Im in the same spot, sorta. Used 19+ 350 prices are too high for me, I think. Then I am struggling with thinking about getting basically a GT when the refresh / new Mustang platform comes out in 23. Especially if the Coyote gets upgrades.

Was on the same boat, scoured classifieds for a while. Like others said, used GT350s are still higher than M1 new, about even with HP pkg. At this point of car pricing craziness, I'll wait. Bought the PP2 instead for $20K+ less. For daily though, considering maint costs and insurance, I would bet much higher for any Shelby, that was my leaning towards the M1 HP.

Well if you lived in a state where it got cold I would have said for the street, you'll want the Mach 1 because of how efficient the GT350 is in cooling and you'll never get to fully enjoy it during the winter seasons. However, since you're in TX that is not the case, therefore, you should still get the GT350.

I just went to Fords site and built a loaded Mach 1. Over $65k.
That's why I went with my 2020 GT30 instead.
