We ignored parts of the JDM instruction guide as it was for a GT350 manifold and throttle body install. We kept the stock throttle body so it will be hooked up differently. Same goes for the PP3, it uses the GT350 throttle body.

Yeah I am running stock TB as well. Still did it like the manual I posted with no ill effects. guess it doesnt matter lol

Lund sent the tune revision. Drove the car about 16 miles. Drivability and power much improved. The car feels stronger on 93 with the 350 mani vs E85 with stock mani. Need to burn some gas then will try E85. Nothing lost on the low end. Above 5K it comes alive and power improvement is noticeable. No surging.
Overall well pleased with the swap.

So you and your son would do it again?
Yes. Definitely. Dakota @ Lund dialed in both tunes. Just filled up with E85. Haven't ran it hard with E85 but on 93 the power was very noticeable. Especially above 6500. It is tuned for commanded WOT at 7750. Pulls hard up top.

UPDATE - Made it to the track yesterday. First time since the swap. Overall performance improved. I gained 2/10th's of a second and 1.5mph. My run was a 12.2 sec @ 116.09 mph. I only did one run so possibly could do a little better.

Nice. What RPM did you shift at with the GT350 and what RPM when it was the GT IM?

throw on some headers and you will run in the 11s around 119-120mph

Yes, I have catless headers and ran an 11.9 @ 119.5mph same day same track.

I'm happy with the trap speeds, not happy with the 11.9 though. Hard to pull it down with a 1.95x 60 foot. I'm not wanting to get a high stall tq converter but I'm sure what else I can do.

I've been launching from idle because that's what everyone has recommended. Might try leaving at 1.5-2k and see what happens.

Get a flex fuel tune for e-85, you really feel a difference in power!

I was running a pair of 285 Mickey Thompson ET Street S/S, traction isn't an issue its getting the power applied faster.

Honestly I was hooking up off the line on summer rubber just fine, I switched to the DR's because I was losing traction in 2nd gear. It's easy to hook when you're not getting a running start. I know the tq converter will be the easy fix, just wondering if there isn't something else I can do that'll help even if its a little. A 1.800 60 ft would be all I need.

Why do you leave on idle if traction isn't an issue? I don't have an auto but I would think launching at higher rpm would lead to a better et if you have traction

Our tunes are already flex and we run E85. And yes it picks up a few hp.

I've read with the stock converter that if you launch at a high RPM that it'll bog the engine down and you'll run slower.

Don't feel like purchasing a $1,200 tq converter just for a few track days a year, next time I go out I'll try launching a little above idle and see how it goes.
