I just installed the gt350 intake manifold with the throttle body, and a JLT CAI (the gt350 one), uploaded a Bama tune, and the car seems to stall at around 3,500RPMs.

It runs well but when it gets to 3,500 the car feels like not suctioning air or something, almost getting stuck on 3,500 RPMs. It does keep going to higher RPMs but veery slowly.

I verified the vacuums connections and all seems well, but the issue continues.

Not sure what the problem may be, any thoughts? Bad IM, bad Throttle body, bad tune? This is really killing me!

Load the stock tune and see how she reacts...
Call Bama and see if they can check the tune they sent you.
Last but not least...retrace your steps.

Good Luck

Thanks for the quick reply lwnslw

Will the car react well with the stock tune, with the gt350 IM, gt350 throttle, and the CAI?

I could give it a try right now if anything, just want to make sure what to look for hehe

Thanks

Alright, I drove the car a bit again, and what I noticed now is that on 3rd gear, the car stalls/no throttle response around 3,500 RPM, but in 4th gear is around the 4000 RPMs. So it reacts different depending on the gear.

Also, once it starts building up power again/some throttle response, the car then reacts as expected. So it seems to be a small window, but very annoying and concerning.

I contacted Bama already, so waiting on their reply tomorrow and see what's next. I'll probably do a datalog tomorrow after work and have it ready for them as well since they will probably ask for one anyway.

Sounds like a tune issue. No issues with my lund tune. AED, JDM, VMP and so on all have the tuning for this setup down.

Alright, like you all said, it was a tune issue. Bama sent me yesterday a new tune and it corrected most of the issues that were happening. I still see some weird throttle response at low RPMs so the tune needs to be configured a bit more.

Hopefully Bama will correct it enough for me to not notice, but time will tell. If not, I'm going to have to give Lund a try.

I still have some parts to install anyway, so I'm just trying to get these mods squared away since I heard the GT350 IM/Throttle body are a bit difficult to tune, to later install the rest (AR 3" LTHs, and 3" Catback exhaust) and hopefully get a quick tune for those with minimal issues. We'll see what happens.

Thanks again for the quick responses so far brothers!

Its shameful people post on forum's. Then won't talk to the people tunning there cars, who can help them diagnose issues with there cars.
