If this has been covered I apologize in advance. Lol. I was wondering if anyone has done the HUD/shift light from a gt350 on there gt? I notice the dash has a cover over where it would be on a gt350. Id like to have one and seeing if it is possible. Thanks.

Ah, so the light strip plugs into the IP?

I just don't know why someone does not make a strip that would fit into the slot on the dash and have it connect wire to the OBD wire...

You have to have the GT350 IPC bc that is where the CAN message to activate the light is sent from. That same light is used in the active cruise control cars.

I just found out the GT350 uses this as a shift light.

I already have this on my GT since I have the adaptive cruise control.
Is there a way with Forscan to set this up like a shift light?

You might be able to look at the as-built data and see what the difference are between a GT350 and a GT...

No one seems to know at this point at least... I wanted to do the same thing... kinda, I don't have the adaptive cruise.

NO, this isn't a config issue. It's a hardware issue. Because the non-GT350 IPC doesn't send the message over CAN to activate the light, changing as built will do nothing. The reason it works in our GTPP test car is because I installed a GT350 IPC and a custom harness. One of my engineers is building an interface for non-GT350's that will allow you to adjust the RPM at which the light is activated and then using the harness I built it will be plug and play.

Oh so it's a little more complicated. lol
It's not a big deal if I can't make it work. Thought it was cool.

Thanks Hex for the info.

So, are you planning on selling your PNP kit be available to the public? Also will it work with a Digital dash?

Honestly I got the digital dash just so I could set a shift point... As it was there was no shift light in my 2016... If it was compatible with that it would be awesome.

Bump for updates on this? The HUD is a feature from the GT350 that I really wanted in my GT and would love to have on my Mach 1

I’d love to see this feature made to work in conjunction with the shift light function on the digital dash!
