So my car got its first sub-freezing cold soak... and the windows froze.

Well as I'm sure you know the Mustang has a auto down when the door opens and a auto up when its fully closed to get a proper seal. With the windows frozen the door opens fine, but the glass then hits the hard window trim trying to close it. So you can either not drive the car as you can work the glass under by hand from the outside as you close the door, or you can drive around with the door barely latched and all the nannies yelling at you that you are driving around with the door open. Which you are, since the weatherstrip around the door isn't sealing.

Also good lord no traction. Drive it like you are on ice cause franky in 32F supersports are past bowling ball into well oiled bowlingball.

Definitely a car not designed for Ice/Snow. I'm impressed you even tried lol

Spray some de-icer by the seal or place a towel over the window when parked over night.
Or have a garage?

I've had the same experience with PSS's in cold weather. It can actually be a lot of fun assuming you aren't trying to get any where soon and have some space to play. :D;)

Spray some wd-40 on a rag and wipe around all your seals (truck/doors), that will help keep them from freezing up.

I didn't even know de-icer existed in a spray form until a couple months ago. It's a godsend for people like me who are leaving at the last minute and often forget to remote start.

Did it rain or something? It was upper teens this morning and it is 23 F right now. I've never had an issue with the car in the cold (other than the exhaust valves stuck once when it was double digits below zero).

It does always sit in a garage overnight, but the garage gets below freezing when it's cold out.

Oh - and I'd advise buying some snow tires if you are planning to drive it when there might be ice or in cold temps.

Rain before the freezing, freezing fog after that. Most of my cars never cared.

took a drive, and figured out the issue. The felt on the window trim stores water like a champ. rolling a bone dry window down all the way and back up covered it in water spots.
