GT to V6 upper+lower grill swap

Hello,

I would like to know if it's possible and what steps are required to swap the GT grill into a V6. Any cutting required? I'd assume the bumper has to come off.

I'm just wondering what has to be done for that. I did some more searching and found a youtube video where they show the back of the bumper. It looks like both upper and lower grills are held by tabs so it seems like an easy swap. I just want someone who has done this to confirm that the grill fitment between v6 and gt are the same. Also, I am not very DIY inclined just yet so it's a scary process for me.

the grille fitment is the same, as the Mustang range only uses one front bumper for all the models except the GT350. Not only that, people have been swapping grilles like you're intending to from the very start.

I actually just read the thread about RTR grille swap. It pretty much addressed my questions.

One other thing I'm wondering about is whether the GT PP splitter/belly pan is compatible with V6 bumper or whether the holes just don't line up.

Yea there are only two parts of the process that are difficult

1. Getting to the screw where the bumper clips on right behind the headlights

2. Getting the grille off of the bumper (use a bunch of flat head screw drivers to hold the clips open).

Lethal performance has detailed instructions for their grille delete that you can use

I have done the swap and can tell you for sure both grills fit the same. Lethal Performance has a video on the swap for their grill. The hardest part is all the tabs that hold the grills. I used several different trim removal tools I have, but a hand full of flat blade screw drivers will work. New Part Take Off sells the upper and lower for $159.99.
