Traveling on the interstate the other day, a car ahead of my wife kicked up a piece of debris that damaged her stang's lower grille. I can get a replacement pretty cheap, but I'd like to replace the base lower grill with that of an EcoBoost instead. Is this a plug and play swap, or will it require some additional fitting? Thanks

There are 2 EB lower grills. I am assuming the OP means the one with the mesh. Interested to see if it is a direct swap.

It was a direct swap. The car now looks the way all should. The honeycomb in the new EB lower grill matches the upper, so it looks great. Only problem I encountered was removing the lower grill. Those locking tabs are a beyotch to free without breaking. I found a 'how to' aftermarket grill install procedure that showed you how to keep the tabs open using multiple flat-blade screwdrivers. Once I found that, it was smooth sailing...until my wife mentioned that her fogs and turn signals weren't working. Seems I forgot to reconnect them after I reinstalled the front bumper cover. Oops.

Got a link for the "'how to' aftermarket grill install procedure?"
