I have a 2019 GT with a digital speedometer that differs from the analog speedometer. Today when I was driving the car, the digital speedometer was 20 miles over what the analog was showing. Does anyone know if there’s something I can do to fix it or is this a dealer issue? Note: I took the car to the dealership last week for an oil change but I wouldn’t think that would have anything to do with it.

Please start with putting a description of any and all mods in your signature line, plus the details of your car.

We can help a lot better when we know those details.

Any chance you were doing right at about 34MPH when you noticed the "20 miles over what the analog was showing"?

I'm willing to put $20 down on the bet that your digital speedo is set to KPH. Because 34MPH is 54KPH.

You're talking about the analog dash vs digital readout, right? And did you buy the car new or used? My guess is it'a used car, and previous owner messed with that via FORScan, since I've never heard of that on a new car. Good luck.

You’re right about the KPH. Tech at the dealership had messed with the settings. Nice catch!

But if his speedo was set at KPH instead of MPH, it would be telling him he was doing 80 when really he'd be doing 50?

You can only change the digital readout as the speedo is set, i.e. our Australian mustangs have KMH speedos analogue and a digital readout in KMH too but you can change the digital readout to MPH ( when you do this you get a larger MPG digital readout and a smaller digital readout). We cannot change the analogue gauge from metric to Imperial !

I must be confused but in my 2019 GT I can flip back and forth between Kilometers per hour and miles per hour.

Yes only in the digital read out the analogue side is constant , in KMH . I would recheck tonight but I am without the car for a few days, almost certain only the digital readout in the centre of the speedo alters. I apologise if I am wrong.

34MPH is 54KPH

His regular speedo read 34MPH, and his digital read-out between the gauges read 54KPH, which the OP mistook for MsPH.
