I've searched and red my owners manual and I'm still confused.

I understand:
-Push TC button once turns Off TC leaves Stability Control in Normal mode.
-Hold Button several seconds turns Off everything

I don't understand:
-Pushing the TC button twice changes to Sport Mode for Stability Control but leaves the TC On? It seems like I can be in Sport Advance Trac with TC On or Off?

If so why would I want Sport Advance Trac with TC On?

You cant, in Sport Mode t/c is on. If you are in Sport you can not shut off t/c. Stability control uses traction control to keep you out of trouble.

I know I'm the one looking for help but I don't think that is correct. If you push the button once it turns Off TC but the Stability Is still On. If you hold the button for 8 seconds it tells you both TC and Stability are Off.

So I know Normal Stability Control doesn't need TC turned on.

What I can't figure out is Sport Advancetrac Mode.

two quick pushes puts it in sport mode. T/c is still on. On track I find not much difference between everything on and sport other than a little more freedom. Everything off gives me faster lap times. On the street I just leave everything on, I have nothing to prove. Sport will allow a lot more yaw but it is hard on the rear brakes. I have never run on track with just t/c off so I can't speak to that. My feeling is that it is off in a straight line but will still keep you from spinning (excessive yaw)

Thanks Tim! You've had yours on the track I only have 700 miles so I'll take your word for it

no problem, we debated this a while back and it finally dawned on me that for stability control to work t/c still needed to be active to control the yaw of the car. Let's just say running hard with an M4 with everything on (because I thought it was off) makes lots of funny marks on your rear rotors :) My car still gets pretty sideways on the street with everything on. On track it would pull me out of my seat mid corner trying to straighten the car. I had to pit and shut everything off, and then run my fastest lap time to that point.
