Is there any speculation/confirmation as to whether or not the GT will keep the grill-mounted fog lights?

Personally, I am on the fence about them -- not sure if they fit or not. But, it certainly would be another "iconic Mustang" design cue.

Time to lose them and gain something new to differentiate between the models :)

I guess I'd rather have them than nothing, but I agree with Twin Turbo. I either would like to see the vertical bars or something new.

I definitely don't see it having both as this render shows, however I personally don't want them in the grill, especially those Big Round Fog's. Maybe something smaller or rectangular if anything would look OK, but I like the bars as it ties in with Ford's ST range.

Also, if it had the Fog's like this render I think it would look better if they were not as farly spaced as those. Maybe if the outer edges of the Fog's were about where the inside of where the Bars would be.

There have been no mules spotted with any sort of grille that would accommodate them. They won't be in the grille this time around.

If it's gotta be in the grill I'd rather it be in the lower grill like the other one you posted.

But personal preference I'd like to see them do something different as well.

No fogs needed. As long as it has DRL, I'm fine. If I had bought an S197, I would have removed the fogs entirely anyway.

I'm glad to hear they probably won't be a part of this generation of Mustang. Time for a new direction, and I think having them on the upper grille disrupts the flow of the new front end. Just looks a bit weird.

First post here after lurking for a long time.

A someone who is not a fan of the current mustangs, I am really excited for the idea of a modern looking Mustang. While Ford may lose some traditionalists with a modern car that stears away from what its fans are used to, Ford will also gain new fans like myself who never thought much of the model.

I expect, and hope, that the new Mustang will get rid of the fog lights inside of the grill. Having circle shaped lights in the grill of the car looks too old for my tastes, and I would hope to see some modern verticlly alligned fog lights instead. I am however a huge fan of the traditional 3 piece tail lights, as long as they are pulled off in a modern way. Even the newer Mustangs with the LED traced tail lights are beautiful and modern.

I guess to sum up my thoughts, I would hope that Ford would not go through all of the trouble of modernizing the look of the Mustang to throw traditional foglights in the mix. This new Mustang will probably lose some traditonal fans, but it will gain new ones as a trade off.
