Looks like we could get plenty of people....now who has the contacts to make this happen? Anyone that went to the tour a few weeks ago know how we can request the tour?

While the plant does accomodate tours, there is no standard provision to go in on a regularly scheduled basis. Perhaps if JarStang or one of the forum admin team were to reach out to any Ford contacts they might have, it might happen.

From a timing standpoint, since they just started production, the Ford folks at the plant might want to minimize how much they do this. However, I think someone posted on here they were going to be on a tour tomorrow, so I don't think it's totally out of the realm of possibility.

The tour a few weeks ago was arranged by Team Mustang as part of the Mustang Alley event that they've hosted annually in conjunction with the Woodward Dream Cruise.

I guess you're right!

Ford is stepping up its efforts, too, to combat what the business world often refers to as “optics” — or, as most people call it, things that look bad. Ford said in a news release that it would “sell its corporate aircraft as part of its overall cash improvement plan,” and that Mr. Mulally would work for a salary of $1 a year “as a sign of his confidence in the company’s transformation plan and future.”

I would seriously consider flying over for the opportunity to participate in such a tour
