Hey everyone- I’m close to closing on a 2019 shadow black PP2. Hopefully the may incentives are the same or slightly better than April...dealer wants only about 5% off of MSRP with dealer discounts and loss of ford rebates due to using 0% for 84. Still working...

but quick question, I’ve noticed of all the mustangs I looked at they all have the typical ford blue window sticker, but this one has green? There’s a “special order” listed at the bottom and didn’t know if that’s what designated the green sticker or if it meant something else?

A green sticker denotes a car that was special ordered by a customer. You might want to ask why the original purchaser backed out. Also a 2019 at this point should be 18-20% off sticker. The 0% financing will effect the rebates but not the dealer discount. If all you’ve be offered is 5% off I’d think about finding the door.

I agree with a 2019 you should be getting more than 5%. On my 2020 fully loaded GT Premium I got 12% off and still got 0% for 72 months. My OTD including gap was 52 something

Here is a dealer I was talking to before they are from South Carolina they have a 2020 GT Premium that's fully loaded. They had this car since 10/2019. It's a magnetic gray, 401A, 10 Speed, MagneRide, B&O sound, Active exhaust ford safe and smart package, enhanced security and PP1. I know by now they would be willing to let this go asap. Give them a call, I know you want a PP2 but maybe this could change your mind

Green stickers are special order, as mine was. Most of the time, the customer is not approved for financing, so the vehicle is left there for anyone to buy. I've also been told that dealers themselves sometimes order a specifically optioned car. So it doesn't always mean that it's a customer ordered car.

thanks guys- i can't imagine PA is some roaring market for mustangs. within 100 miles from me, the biggest dealer discount showing on their sites are 5-6% and then the ford rebates after that. i guess i should just throw a number out there and see what happens. at 52k MSRP, im thinking of just offering 42k pre TTL and see what happens. i love the car and it doesn't make sense now to buy a pp1 with magnaride when the pricing is actually more for the options than a pp1.

Either i suck at negotiating or no one is getting major discounts with the 0%....I talked to a dealer today that pretty much laughed me off the phone for a 15% off MSRP price on a ‘19 Bullitt. I called 200 miles away from my house. Even tried koons and none calls back. Said their invoice is $49,350 On a 52k MSRP.

kind of surprised they don’t care about sitting on inventory. I guess a PP2 and a bullitt are somewhat rare cars so maybe they don’t mind.

I'll go one step further, a PP2 most likely will always be a special order. Really good find if the build is as you would have had designed.

Not complaining here, just offering insight. Ordered mine in Nov, arrived end of March. You'll find that is a kick ass car.. :-) Those fat meats make that thing look very planted, and it is.

Cheers,
Pep

I found a 2020 GT Premium with the PP2 in Ohio. I dont know if you tried contacting but below is the link, good luck and hope you get a good deal.

The PP2 is hard to come by I had to factory order mine September 2019 and took delivery March 2020. I was able to get approx 6.5% off MSRP then $2500 in rebates and 0% for 5 years due to current incentives offered when I took delivery. Hopefully you can get them to give you some more off due to the current situation as there isn’t much demand for new vehicles and PP2 Mustang’s tend to sit on the lot for awhile. And since it was a special order someone most likely backed out and couldn’t take delivery of the vehicle. If you can get a PP2 it is well worth it!! Just make sure you get some PPF and Rockblokz on her, those Sport Cup 2’s like to throw rocks.

So I think we’ve wrapped up the pricing situation. They’re not budging from $49k flat plus tax. Said at that price is $900 below invoice. I think that’s as good as I’m going to get using the 0% for 84 months.

would it be something like asking them to throw in a maint plan or something?
