I had mine done a couple of weeks ago by a local shop. They charged me $250 to paint them on all 4 corners. I was very happy with the outcome. Just the right amount of color imo

Good price - what local shop did you use? Are they painted or powder coated, and how long did they keep your car? I'm a little over an hour away from Union in Hatboro, PA, but it may be worth the trip, especially compared to a $600 dealer bill.

Man, I really want to do this. I'll start working from home, soon, and won't need my vehicle as a DD, any longer. I could probably go a few days with the car down...

It's been a long time since I've had anything powder coated...does anyone make a Race Red powder, or do you just need to guess and hope you're right?

Joe

well, im doing a second set for a friend. this set is the 4 piston fronts. the only real difference between the two is you need to separate the halves of the 4 piston calipers to remove a very small rubber gasket.
remember, the front calipers only need about 30psi of air pressure. the rears need around 50psi. dont go crazy with air pressure, you will damage the gaskets and make a mess.

if your wondering how i get the spring off the rear caliper

That looks amazing. If someone started a buisness for this id buy them and send mine for a refundable deposit or something. all I pay is shipping, and work of coating etc..

id do it BUT ,sadly it takes more time then people would think and be willing to pay for. for what someone would have to charge i don't see anyone paying for it since people don't understand how long some things take.

ill probably have a total of 3-4hrs into these plus the cost of coating the calipers, me driving to the coater (30 mins one way) etc... after adding all that together i just don't see people willing to pay for it.

update on my buddy's calipers.
i had the bolt tips coated aswel just so they wouldn't stick out when the caliper was assembled. nice little attention to detail.
also, for the recored 4P calipers are a pain in the ass to do. way more complicated then the 6P brembos thats for sure.
just have one front left to put together. while assembling i noticed a spot that was light on powder coat so i had my coater fix it, should be done tomorrow.
