Goodbye 302 - Hello New Voodoo

...well....maybe not quite yet, but I just pulled the emotional trigger and have let go of my 2012 Boss 302 [yellow/black] for a new 2017 GT350 [white, blue stripes, electronics package, cover]. Order is in the hands of my dealer, confirmation coming tomorrow.

It's been a tough choice to be quite honest...my 302 is perfect, and 5 years of really good memories have been had. If I were a considerably wealthier man, I'd own both, but alas this is a one toy at a time affair for me. That sound of the GT350 has literally wormed its way into my head and and it simply won't get out.

I've got to say...I've been stalking these forums for well over a year. I'm certifiably crazy about this thing at this point. The wealth of knowledge and shared experiences you've all documented here really made me want to join the club.

I had no choice, the purchase simply had to be made.

You will not regret it. After four months of ownership, I still get goosebumps when I hit that start button. A good friend came by yesterday to see it. He just bought a 2014 C7. When I cranked the 350 he had a definite look of buyers remorse.

There are some awesome deals out there on Ford's second best factory Mustang racer. I saw a good LS lowered to $38k yesterday.

I, too, sold my beloved Green Goblin (2013 GHIG B302) in order to procure my R. I simply had not enough garage space and to be honest, I didn't even wanna drive it after getting in the R. The differences are night-n-day...

Right? My 2012 302 is number 425...I've got all the wall art and paperwork framed. Already told the future wife, we'll need to find a wall for GT350 stuff to hang on. Good luck with your decision!

That's priceless! Any day you can out rumble a Corvette is a good day! I had a chance to sit in a 2016 Tech Pack at my local dealer. They let me start the car, was considering buying it at the time, then I flipped the sport mode switch and well...that was the end of it. I literally lost my mind.
