Just received a disappointing email today from my ford dealer.There appears to be 2200 orders in system pre march 31 and therefore delivery will blowout.All cars will not be delivered by march 2016. He is only allocated 2 cars for December.He has 25 orders.Some of his cars could be as late as August deliveries.I dont know whether all dealers are affected the same. Any other news?

Damn those peeps better get 2017 cars lol i heard they were building them by engine and colour first with triple yellow with ots and auto eb up first hahaha

I can't see this being the case to be honest. 2 cars a month with 25 orders... How many ford dealers are there in Aus??

Yeah im skeptical aswell, they can churn out 600 odd a day. Plus 2 cars a month starting from December would be Jan 2017 before orders are filled, no one will wait that long, personally id go buy something different.

I did not say he gets only 2 cars a month,but he only gets 2 in first month.May have something to do with actual date of order.We will all know soon.

Well it better not be true! I love the car but a June/July delivery next year. No thanks. I'll buy something else then wait and order a gt350 or a 2017 with sync 3 ect

Just guessing here but I thought I read somewhere that there is up to 13 production lines in Flatrock. 600 divided by 13 = 46. What if one production line was for RHD only,therefore only 46 cars a day x30(month) = 1400 a month RHD. UK=2500 AUS=2200 NZ=? STH AFRICA=? There's 3 months solid production. Remember they sold 13000 LHD last month and they are probably still ramping up LHD production as well as EURO LHD. They have got their hands full at the moment. Those Australian delivery figures and dates could be correct.

Could be true. But seriously I won't be waiting that long. It's going to be an amazing car but I won't tolerate that kind of bs on delivery times. This isn't a Ferrari!

Assuming most of our contracts state Feb delivery. We can void the contract if they can't deliver by then? Or would they make us amend the contract again once the final date is locked in...

Austang I would expect they will advise delivery month then lock in. I really want this car but I wouldn't want to be the dealer calling me to say July 16 given it was pre Xmas originally .

I'll just have to wait and see what he is told by FoMoCo. I haven't pressed him for delivery details - I don't think he knows yet anyway. I've requested a February 2016 delivery, if it's a bit over I'm not really concerned.
