I currently do not own a mustang, however I have owned 2 before. I had a 2000 GT and a 2010 GT premium, I miss the '10 dearly.

I'm looking at purchasing a new GT, and trading in my current ride which is a FoST which to be honest has had an insane amount of issues which is the main reason I'm attempting this.

I have a dealer offering me a Ruby Red with the tinted clearcoat base GT with the GTPP and recaro's for $30,794 which is like $6400 off MSRP. Here's the link to the window sticker but they don't have pictures of the actual car up yet, it's new to the lot. http://services.forddirect.fordvehicles.com/inventory/WindowSticker.pdf?vin=1FA6P8CF0F5424364

This same dealer has a guard GT premium with the recaro's listing for $33,800 and I'm wondering which I should pursue. http://services.forddirect.fordvehicles.com/inventory/WindowSticker.pdf?vin=1FA6P8CFXF5417518
In my past experience I have found the Sony upgraded stereo's severely underwhelming and the leather reaching magma level temps during the summer just plain miserable. I know the premiums come with 'cooled' seats but I've read they don't do a very good job, is this true?

In the end I know it's my decision and I'm going to go with whichever one I do, but I'd like to get some opinions on this. It's a lot of questions, I know, but I've been out of mustangs for about 5 years now and would like some insider info...Thanks!

I would go for the GT Premium hands down.

Well, I know which one I would get. (Hint, it's in my sig) However, what you are looking for out of the car and what I am looking for could very well be two completely different things. Do you want a big, mean, hard-charging track-ready car that will gobble up the streets, or a smooth, composed, semi-luxurious gran turismo sports car for long drives that is happy to carve up canyon and mountain curves?

Look at the bright side, at least you get to choose between the 2 best colors available! Although I do occasionally suffer from some DIB envy when I see them out and about. Incredibly gorgeous color when it's all dolled up.

I would pick that up for sure! make sure you look to see when discount they are offering in the sale price. When I bought mine they wouldn't give me the military/student discount which was $500, but I got them to get me the aging inventory discount of $500 and the competitive lease discount of $750. Got my GT premium with Voice Nav, 20" Foundry wheels, and 3.55 gears for $34,950. However you can find from really low options if you're not picky.

I almost bought this one a month ago before I bought mine. just didn't have the features I wanted (http://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/637204040/overview/)

.....But to answer your question I would go Premium over Base!

The Recaro's are not cooled, so the premium will not get that option. Cooled and heated seats are only the Ford standard or Ford premier trim seats.
