My wife bought from koons and they were a few thousand cheaper than anyone in the NJ area. Most dealers didn't even want to negotiate on Mustangs and some admitted they didn't need to. I love to buy local but for a few thousand she went with koons. Her ruby red was $42, xxx. and she got it delivered to our doorstep in Nj for $39,xxx.

Considering you live in Maryland, I understand. I'm not entirely sure why but prices are at least 3-4K less in Maryland or Virginia. I live in Ct and bought from Koons Sterling Ford in Va, flew down and drove back. Up here after shopping around dealers regularly told me to go buy down in Va because we cant get near that price.
Bought a 16' base GT auto, sticker was $34,490 and I was out the door, taxes and reg for $30,600 after a few rebates and $750.00 private cash. Connecticut has a 6.35 % tax rate as well. Their prices are great just depends where you are from.
I don't know about the dealers in the other states but other dealers in the Baltimore area have similar pricing to Koons. Nothing special about Koons.

Another good thing about Maryland is you only pay tax on the trade difference.

Best bet is to find out x-plan pricing (in this case it's probably around $37-38K) and negotiate around that price. I have pretty much the same car as you but without Nav or Reverse Park and I paid $37,950 which was $112 over X-plan.

Yeah, I got under X-Plan pricing (I had that number going in for negotiations). Just waiting now for the car to get delivered!

Yeah, it seems like most of the deals I'm finding are in that area. I just wish it wasn't such a long drive for me. I was going to go out twice, but the thought of the 8 hour drive changed my mind just before I went. I found one I think I want, but don't know if it will be sold by the next time I can go. They won't even take a deposit since its a 15. I'm kind of conflicted though as I know I should probably try to find at least a 16, but can't seem to find one in the color and options I want anywhere near me. I did find a few in Texas and Florida with even better prices than on the coast, but then again its even further away. Although a couple of the places said they can deliver, I would really like to see the car in person first and not sure how it would work with my trade in that situation.

Auto delivery isn't very expensive, 800-1000 depending on how fast you want it. Honestly I'd order a 17' at x-plan pricing and call it a day.

I think there was actually a place in Texas that offered free shipping, but I can't remember how they handled the trade. I think I had to pay shipping on that or something. I need to take better notes.
