These were my cars of yesteryear. Still great cars.

Gone but still there in memory.

Do you have some to share?

Just a few of them. 1970 Impala with 454, 1965 Olds 442, 1969 Chevelle SS w/ 396/375HP 4 speed 4.10 posi, 2011 300C 5.7L Hemi.
The 2014 RAM Laramie is what we traded on the Mustang. My wife really misses her truck. We will have to get her something else, hopefully soon.

I owned this Falcon for a few years, a Tickford T3 TS50 to give it's full name.

These featured a hand built 5.6 stroked Windsor V8 and had one of the most intoxicating, old school V8 sounds. The thing had a hellish thirst for fuel but had massive road presence and, yes, very much not forgotten.

Miss it almost every day. I don’t regret trading it for the GT but I regret not having it. You could throw this thing around in a parking lot and have just as much fun as on a track. It wasn’t squat off the line but the low and mid range punch made it super fun from a roll, especially once I tuned it.

Miss my XJ... total tank. Survived things it shouldn’t have and had around 219k when I sold it.

1986 FZ750 - 5V Genesis motor. Made 105hp which was respectable for its day. Heavy as a tank but had a phenomenal power band that just made it a joy to wind to the redline and the sound... oh man.

Miss this as well, quite a bit. 04 Columbia Edition with the 4.7HO. It had some serious balls (265hp/330lb ft) and it was 2wd. Super smooth cruiser and very practical. Except for gas mileage which ultimately is why I sold it, commuting about 40mi a day when gas was almost $4/gallon. I bought the ST after this and was paying less per month with gas savings.

First Mustang... have many many memories with this car. Did a full bolt on/nitrous setup and it ran hard for what it was. Unfortunately I didn’t have the brains at the time to take a few extra precautions and I ended up killing the rear end and the car has been sitting for years due to some life changes with my career and moving. Hope to see it hit the road again.

'87 Merkur XR4Ti - The first nice new car that we could afford. This is from when I finally sold it in '06.

PA090014_SM.JPG

'93 Mazda Miata (Not Pictured) - Test drove one on a lark while shopping for a more practical car and fell in love. Kept it until 2010.

'04 Mazda RX7 - Great car and I didn't have many problems with it but I decided not to risk the notorious 13B rotary problems and traded it in once the warranty was up.

DSC00972.JPG

'07 MINI Cooper S - My custom ordered tribute to the '78 Ford Fiesta I drove in college. Good fun but reliability challenged and expensive to maintain. Glad I got one before they turned fat and ugly.

IMGP1060_SM.JPG

'13 Mazda Miata - Back to something reliable. In '13 Mazda finally put a tolerable front fascia on the third generation Miata and it was time to go back. Some Miata purists hate the NC generation but it was basically an RX8 chasis with a great little 2 liter which I loved.

The XR4Ti was a great car made in Germany.

Yes, basically the European Ford Sierra with Ford's 2.3L turbo from the '80s under the hood. Merkur was Ford's attempt to launch a European luxury brand that Lincoln Mercury dealers cratered within a few years.

I remember that. It seems that Ford makes so many "better if you will" cars in Germany than we get here all because of our government. It is almost like communism where the government tells the private sector how to make things. Yet, the government can't make anything good, say. It is a shame we get lessor over here and it is made by basically the same company. It is not like we are importing BMW, it is Ford.
