Oh!... man you're pathetic
Glad you caught that! It is actually a play on words. Had you read the think tank paper they posted you would understand. 😎

I wish you guys would read the stuff you comment instead of regurgitating what you are told. Can't expect much from this group. Oh well. :cwl:

@K4fxd - I'm still waiting for your summary! Once you do that we can continue the conversation. Look forward to reading what you post.

Back to the topic:

This is what you stated:

@jtmat

Still waiting for the paper that shows oil industry subsidies.
Below is what I requested.

Once you get there we can move the conversation to specifics. Period. My game, you don't make the rules. If you don't want to research and provide a summary/basic understanding of oil subsidies, we can't have a basic conversation.

Trying to move the conversation to "$10 oil comment" is clever. Won't work though. Get to reading and providing your summary. Turn that Fake Anger Political BS to learning.

Go to https://google.com and search "oil industry subsidies". Some of the links we can't discuss like the executive order, Senate, etc.

Run through those first page links and let me know what you think. Please provide a detailed analysis of your thoughts vs. your normal one-line BS posts.

This will be a good start. I'll return by the weekend to see what you have wrote so you don't have to keep begging to respond by putting "@".

Mad Mitch! Never fails!!! Kept it bottled up long as you could! :cwl:

But you are correct. To think you bunch could have a decent conversation around EVs was a mistake. It was worth a shot!
If you could only prove your point…..Bless your heart!

To write "loser" in all caps on a forum because another member does not want to engage in decent conversation is not normal. Well, maybe normal in your angry world. Your posts are proof enough. Facts. :like:

He asked for links so you could prove your point, which you can’t provide because there aren’t any. Just makes you look like a LOSER! Just plain and simple. No need to get all triggered as you always put it. FACTS!

Yes he is. Well I assume he’s a dude. Who knows……

it’s funny to see his reactions when he can’t prove his point. Then tries to back track saying he’s already done so. Typical lefty move. WFE! Smoked again And what’s so unusual he doesn’t even realize it.

Hello; Over the last few years there have been three who basically sing the same tunes on a variety of topics. From Covid to climate change to BEV's. Of the three jtmat has consistently made the weakest form of presentations in his arguments. The pattern in the past has been he (jtmat) takes cues from one of the other two when his posts begin to falter.
Seems the other two have retreated to their safe space and left this particular thread. I suspect they have come to realize EV sales are falling short of needed levels of late. Seems jtmat is left on his/her own and has dug a hole too deep to get out of using reasonable tactics. So, a fall back to the tactics of lashing out.

Poor Mad Mitch. You can't seem to comprehend. I'm not triggered. I simply asked for him to read the links I provided via search since he didn't know oil subsidies existed. Not hard to follow, buddy.

No need to have these round and round conversations with someone who posts one sentence replies but running around begging for conversation.

See if @K4fxd finally replies. I doubt it. You guys can rant on... too much drama. :cwl:

The world moves on....

The world may be on track for tripling renewables – and that’s what we need
Governments plan to double renewable capacity by 2030, and tripling is within sight, according to a newly released report.
Many countries are already on track to exceed their national targets, and more ambition is achievable to bring a tripling of global renewables within reach, according to an analysis of national targets by energy think tank Ember.
The report analyzes renewables targets for 57 countries, plus the EU, that collectively represent 90% of global power sector emissions. According to these targets, global renewable capacity will reach an estimated 7.3 terawatts (TW) in 2030, more than doubling from 3.4 TW in 2022. More than 75% of renewable capacity in 2030, where stated, will be from solar and wind.
However, the current renewables boom is already outpacing governments’ planned growth. The world could achieve a doubling just by continuing the deployment achieved in 2023 throughout the rest of the decade – yet all signs point to a more rapid growth curve.
If the countries analyzed by Ember continue the growth rate of 17% achieved since 2016 throughout the rest of this decade, it would put the world on track for a tripling of renewables.

Schneider hits 1 million emission-free miles using Freightliner eCascadia electric trucks
Freight logistics specialist Schneider is celebrating a huge milestone in the commercial EV space today, reporting its fleet of electric trucks from Daimler’s Freightliner brand has surpassed 1 million total miles driven – all without any carbon emissions. We love to see it.
Schneider National Inc. ($SNDR) and its unmistakable bright orange trucks are not only hauling freight, but also over 85 years of experience in transportation that help bring in over $6.6 billion in revenue each year.
In the commercial segment, Schneider has been one of the earlier adopters of sustainable freight alternatives, including electric trucks – particularly the eCascadia from Daimler Trucks-owned Freightliner.

To clear this up. You asked for a link to a paper on EV subsidies. I gave you one

You stated gas should be 10 dollars per gallon if oil companies did not get subsidies. I asked you for a link showing this. You refused. You sent a link to google.com.

The respectful thing to do would be post a link to oil company subsidies and or one that says gas would be 10 dollars per gallon.

This is my last post to you until you do the respectful thing and post a direct link.

I do not debate disrespectful children. Good day.

The report was not balanced. For example, they didn't mention fossil fuel subsidies (i.e. real price of gas is over $10). They should have also mentioned agriculture, and utility subsidies since these are connected as laid out the report.
Here is the post I'm referring to.
