Brown himself was VERY clear why he did it. To get published. He also did it to illustrate the point that there was too much politics in science.
Was he really? Come on try and read things critically please.

Did you actually read this?
Hello; Welcome to the full Gregs treatments. I posted about this also and do agree with your take. Learned some about this sort of thing from writing grant proposals while i was a public school teacher. It fits.

Yeah, he's a Troll (or acts like a classic one), modern climate devotee, blind, seems unable/willing to have a decent conversation, and really doesn't matter. The TRUTH in the climate/environmental realm is NOT in the fringes or current trends. It is complex and nuanced.

Shellenberger's book is NOT perfect, but he lays out in common layman's terms a cogent argument that Climate Change is a REAL thing, but NOT necessarily what the fringe extremists are making it out to be. I encourage all to read it, not the reviews by the cheerleaders or critics, but the book itself. It is a bit tedious, but has a ton of data and mostly reasonable courses of action for those who are serious about being good stewards of the planet.

My take is balanced. I'm not in either camp.

My take is climate has changed in the past when we were not here and it will change again no matter what we do. So crippling our lifestyles is pointless.

We should continue to use fossil fuels and continue to make them cleaner and also develop so called green energies.

A troll? Tripplepeemustang, mitch, etc. are trolls. Trolls don't contribute to the conversation, except to post memes, angry rants, etc.

Greg took time to refute the two links you presented. While his language might be harsh, he has presented an argument.

You posted links used by fringe extremists and then want to call someone a fringe extremist? I dunno, maybe you didn't know about the links.

Who provided the estimate? Provide a link to the direct study/report, not some second-hand website.
Hello; Here you go. Texas Public Policy Foundation (TPPF). I posted this several pages ago. Let me guess, the source will not be good enough, right? All the text in blue are links to more information.
Come on give us an opinion about the estimated $50,000 of subsidies and other taxpayer monies added on to the near $50,000 the EV buyer is paying per EV.
Hello; I provide the information on massive EV subsidies you asked for. Guess you were just toying with me again.

Greg is a spoiled little brat who can't deal with opposing opinions and runs and hides from other views.

My evidence is the number of people he has on ignore.

Hello; Yes the climate changed before we humans started using coal or oil. Climate change is known to be a constant and ongoing thing.
I also am not against "green" energy sources if they can be made to work out. Hydroelectric dams have proven to be decent supplements for the grids in places. I live in the TVA (Tennessee valley Authority) area and have visited some of the dams.
My contention is to not do away with coal, oil and natural gas generation until we are sure the "green" alternatives are proven to be up to the job. Do not want a winter such as had in parts of Europe last year.

Hello; Yes I figure you and i are being ignored. He started posting when a new member's voice showed up on the thread. He (Gregs) has already begun to attack that new member/voice..

You clearly still haven't read anything I posted

Shellenberger - discredited by the people he misquoted

Brown himself saying he did not say what the media said he did

If you want to be taken seriously you need to look far more closely at what you post.

I'm not sure how I can be accused of being a troll. I posted clear evidence with links to back it up that clearly refute what you said. That is not trolling by any definition I have ever seen. In fact YOU could be accused of trolling by refusing to even acknowledge my responses and just posting the same old drivel.

Perhaps you could show some courtesy and at least acknowledge my responses that demonstrated your misunderstanding. After all YOU quoted Brown supposedly, but it seems Mr Brown doesn't agree with you on his OWN website!

Incidentally Shellenberger would have to use common layman's terms because he is an author and not a climatologist. That should make you wonder about the validity of what he says surely?

I seems it is a waste of time. Even when something is in black and white from the author of the work on his own website, it is still ignored. Pretty sure it is pointless trying to converse with somebody that wilfully ignorant. It sure isn't a debate!

Where is the link? The direct link to paper or report you are citing? Did you read that link or stick to the headline from FoxNews?

You requested my opinion on subsidies based on a paper/report and I'm willing to do that once you provide the direct link to the research/paper/report.

Don't believe this is an unreasonable request. I want to make sure I'm responding based on the information you provide. I'm not wasting my time with third-party links and me taking hours to find some link only to find out you have not read it, it is the wrong link, or you don't know about it.

Hello; You are playing the fool ( toying with me for fun) again. I have provided the links at least three times. Just in case you are actually too dumb to know this I will explain. In my post you judt questioned I added quotes from past posts. All you have to do is click on the little arrow pointing up. Takes you to the actual post the quotes came from. Plenty of links.

Too dumb or just toying with us members. Either way makes you into a foolish person. Also shows a lack of integrity. Perhaps there is a new internet name for the likes of you???

Not fooling with you. I went back, and don't see the direct link the source paper. Instead of insults, how hard would it have been to post the direct link to the source?

I'm not waddling through 200 of your rambling links to find something.

Post the link or stop your complaining. It is not an unreasonable ask.

This is a perfect example of why people block you. Such a waste of time. All you had to do was post the direct link to begin with.
