Hello,

First of all be aware that my english is not perfect as this is not my native language, sorry for that, I hope I will be clear enough.
I had a problem with my glove box : I could not close it anymore, then I found the little thing which you can see on the pictures below.
I figured out that it felt from the square hole on the left of the glove box. When you push the big square button which opens the glove box, this thing moves out of its location to push the door locker.
So I have multiple questions for you guys :
- Did this already happened to you ?
- I guess I will need to disassemble the big square button (which opens the glove box) to install the felt part, do you know where I can find a tutorial for the glove box disassembly ?
- Ford says they only sell the full glove box (600 € ... !!!), do you know I can find the glove box parts sold from another seller than Ford ?

Thanks a lot !

Where the felt part should be located (inside the red circle) :

First of all your English is very good. I'm not confused with your English but Ford's design. Very interesting design.

When you mention felt, I think of a fabric, which may be used to prevent a rattle. I did not take mine apart so I'm not sure how the other parts of the assembly interface. I hope someone who has worked on this linkage will see this thread and be able to help you.

Maybe this link will help you, or someone who can see this and help.

By watching at the photos on EBay, I think I will to disassemble the full glove box, then to disassemble the lock release assembly. I need to find a tutorial on how to disassamble the full glove box (not only the glove box door). If anyone knows where I can find this, I would be happy ...
Also, I am not sure but I wonder if there is an airbag attached to the glove box ...

Thanks again SnakeByte, by watching at the ebay photos, I could see where is the square hole, from which my part felt, is in fact included in the lock release assembly.
Square hole (with the red circle) :

So I need to remove the lock release assembly from the glove box, to then try to find out how to reinstall the felt part.
I am not sure if I can remove the 3 screws of the back of the lock release without first disassemble the whole glove box, I will have to try.
Then, if I cannot reinstall the felt part, I may buy a 2nd hand lock release assembly, but I think removing the glove box lock, I could find a video about this, but it is very unclear ... :

Sounds like you have a good start for saving you a bunch of money in repairs. Best wishes on your endeavor.

So my Mustang came to Ford today, they fixed my problem : the part, which came out of my glove box button, has been reinserted by Ford without disassembling anything. They just pushed it back into its hole, until they feel a "click". They said I did reinserted it the wrong way ... So they did it for free, that's the good news.

Awesome! Its nice to hear that the solution was easy. Regarding the 'felt' word. I believe that you meant 'fallen' - to refer to the part that fell out. Your english is excellent!
