GFB DV+ Design Change

Hey forum,

I recently received my GFB DV+ and it looks to be different than what I've seen on the forums, the part number has several dots next to it and instead of the three venting holes there is only one. Has the design changed recently or did I get scammed and its fake?

Response from GFB "From the photo’s you’ve sent that definitely looks like a genuine part. We have made a couple of changes to the valves over the years such as the one larger bypass hole instead of the three, so its not uncommon to see some slight differences from the website."

From revolve a Volvo/Mercedes shop. I’ll be returning it as well as letting GFB know if it ends up not being genuine.

To me looks 100% fake. Compare to DV on GFB website. Even the wording is placed differently:

I reached out directly to GFB once I opened the box, but they were already off for the weekend. Should here a response once they’re back in the offices come Monday.

Even the fakes match the wording, just different text formatting mostly.

It could be a change in design or it could be a fake, let GFB work it out and go from there

GFB emailed me and here is their response:

However they do stress if you feel the part is not genuine for any reason to please contact them with pictures so they can verfify.

Anyone know if the GFB DV+ is compatible with a BPV adapter, like boomba's for example ?? Can you use them both ??

I just took the hose off and plugged the intake side with a rubber chair leg foot I got from the hardware store.

Hey, all!

Keep an eye on the plunger seal over time as mine had deteriorated after about 20k miles of use. The O-ring size you’re after is a BS005 (2.24mm OD / 1.8mm ID) and the material is Viton. I picked up this set from eBay.

Other than the pain staking work to remove it I am curious how mine looks. Have had mine in almost 2 years now. Surprised your seal was that deteriorated.
