I'm confused here, in an earlier post you said this was a 93 tune vs e85 tune. Now its stock to e85 with only a 17 hp difference? Where is this 430 you speak of?
I'm with you, I'm totally confused on the graphs posted and the numbers being stated. It all seems like Tom-foolery and creative accounting.

Like you, I only see a 17rwhp going from bone stock to an E85 tune.

Also, as others have mentioned I don't understand how the stock injectors are fine. They might be very close to being maxed out. There should be a cushion there.

And finally, with regard to components/gaskets etc being able to hold up to the E85, that would probably be a question for Ford. Livernois says they tested it but for how long? It doesn't matter if everything was fine for a matter of weeks or months. What matters is 2, 5, 10 years down the road. Tuners often like to forget about that ;)

Not trying to be a hater or a troll, just expressing real concerns. Honestly, I think this is an awesome innovation. Just not so sure the picture is as rosy as it's being painted.
Livernois Motorsports I read through this thread and didn't see a clear answer to this. The graph shown on page 4 does say stock vs e85 but then it's stated to expect about 15whp more than the livernois 93 octane tune. Any clarification would be great! :headbang:

*edit* Disregard I must have missed page 6 entirely. Got my answer; can't wait for my tuner to arrive!

It's around 15 over the 93 tune..if anyone is local to Detroit with the Lund ff tune It would be cool to get together and see how livernois is next to a Lund tune

Still waiting for my ff tune, I asked for one on Dec 28. But was told they are doing some new updates to the tune.

Were there any issues with their initial tune? Wonder why they wouldn't give you the initial tune then update you once their new updates were completed? Wonder if they ran into some problems, would be good to know.

We would not issue the initial tune if all that we are going to do is rapidly release an update. That is twice the tune writing for the calibration team. They are already up to their keyboards in our in-house installation, dev and client tuning. We wouldn't want to further delay the process.

I understand that you are busy and we all want the E85 tune to be what is expected and always delivered from Livernois (excellence ;)). But do we have an estimated launch date for the E85 tune to be released?

I talked to livernois about getting the ff tune and they told me that they are still having issues with drivability and starting so they wouldn't be able to tune my car at this time and they are not sure when they will be able to...whoever I talked to made it sound like their guy writing the tunes has to much on his plate and doesn't have the time to work it out right now and said they would personally run the 93 tune over the ff tune in the winter months

I hope they test either the GT350 or CJ intake manifolds. Wouldn't want to have to switch tuners just for that.

Me too, but it doesn't seem like it's gonna happen. Jaimie suggested bringing the car to them to tune a future intake manifold swap. They're about 6 hours from me so not a horrible ride to get it dyno tuned, but the appeal of these email tunes is not having to travel. And then how much would I get charged for a dyno tune on top of purchasing the Livernois email tune as opposed to buying a Lund tuner where updates like IM's are free?

All Updates are free with livernois and they are very good at tuning u can't go wrong with it as long as they have the tune tested and ready but if you are looking for a tune for mods that's a different story like with the ff tune they have the tune for a stock car but if u have any mods your out of luck with livernois cause they don't have anything ready and don't know when they will so it seems your best bet is to go with Lund

I really hope Livernois continues to work on the FF tune. It was one of the main reasons I went with them in the first place. It's slightly disappointing to see Lund release a tune that is similar and seems to be doing great with most applications when it was nearly promised that FF tuning was going to be Exclusive to Livernois.

But I'll continue to hold out with Livernois, I am sure they will come through and deliver an excellent FF tune.
