Hi Folks - For those that might have replaced their stock OEM A10 trans cooler and still have it in the garage, I was wondering if you could take some measurements for me.
I'm looking to do some heat transfer analysis of the stock A10 cooler and don't have all the geometry that I need. My goal is to establish an analytical baseline for future mods.
I'm missing the following parameters:
1. HX Tube height (there are 6 primary tubes for heat transfer, they are 21" long, the tube width is 1.250", but I don't know the height of the tube. My guess would be around 0.080")
2. Fin thickness (my guess would be around 0.003")
3. ID of the inlet and exit nipples/tubes as the flow enters the HX/cooler (my guess would be around 0.500")
4. The ID of the hoses that feed the HX/cooler (guess would be around 0.500")
Thanks in advance for your help. Cheers.
