I did get my car tuned by addiction motorsport. Made 693 to the rear. Transmission was good with the last whipple tune and is still good with the new tune. Still doing the 6500 thing though. Dropping it off at whipple on the 3rd to see if they can figure it out.

What changed was when it wasn't engaging it was shifting from first to 2nd at low rpm. After the tune it started shifting from 1st to 3rd and that's when I dont have problems. I think the computer was confused because it was supposed to go into 3rd not 2nd at low speeds not under horsepower

I am very interested in what Whipple has to say on the 6500 RPM issue. I have a similar thing going on. My first thought is throttle body.

Please keep us posted.

Thanks,

Rob

Three reasons....

1st - the Whipple tune is CARB certified and I am in an emissions state. This is a big reason for going with Whipple.

2nd - I paid for a complete kit, not the competition kit. Therefore, I am owed a good working tune. I am OK with being an early adopter and working though the evolution of the tune but a good tune is what, me and everyone else that bought the stage 2 kit, paid for....

3rd - Any tune is only as good as the platform it's installed on. So I need to make sure that all components included in the kit are working correctly. Once you put a different tune in the PCM you no longer have a claim to replace any components.

That's not to say a third party tune is out of the question just don't have a reason to jump ship yet. Plus all in you're talking another $1000 for the tune and an nGauge.

the CARB bit explains it all.

I already paid an additional 750 to get it tuned and the ngauge cost me another 550. Still having issues. Transmission is definitely alot better. That came from the last whipple tune.having different problems. But as of now my transmission is great.
