Does anyone know of a machine shop that will weld up and re bore cam journals on gen 2 heads? I had opg let go on my 54k mile car and hurt my exhaust cams and journals. Everything else is perfect on the heads so i would like to try to save them if the price is alright.

willing to ship if the price is right.

Sorry I can't be of any help with an actual shop recommendation (maybe try the regional section of the forums for that) but IMO it's probably going to be less costly to bore out the journals and install a set of bearings rather than welding it and then boring out.

Now just have to find a place that has done it for other heads. I have had zero luck so far.

I saw a video on YouTube a few months back where some one bored out the bearing caps and installed bearings, the kit comes with a boring bar and the bearings. Granted it was on a 3v but the concept is the same. It's a good idea now that 3v heads are no longer made and good heads are getting harder to find and 90% of the damage on 3v heads are scored bearing saddles. If there isn't a kit for coyote heads out there now, there probably will be soon.
