^Im getting ready to do a swap, I can tell you this... If you have an auto/3.15 then you have an aluminum diff housing. There are no upgrades available for the aluminum housing, you'll have to purchase the cast iron housing and cover/gaskets/seals/bearings ($350) that comes with the PP cars, as well as a new differential, ring & pinion, and a Whipple Flare tool. Not sure what your goals are but an auto/3.15/28"tire/7900rpms with stay in 3rd gear till 140mph, 3.55's go into 4th gear at 124mph. 3.55's will offer more fun around town but the 3.15 is faster from a roll.

Another thing also that I'm curious about is I know the 3.15 are different from all the rest but is the housing the only different thing or is it the whole thing different like hounig, differential every thing? Also is it different in a good way or in a bad way (besides that you can't swap gear)?

I was told as long as you swapped out the diff that hold the housing is usable

I also have the 3.15 with 20" wheels on my car, I would like to know the pros of going up to 3.55. Will my car be faster or will it only feel faster?
I like my 3.15 because it's easy to launch but I do feel some time it does need a little bit more of jump from the get go or when try to have fun like doing donuts or trying to just fish tail the rear a little and I that with the 3.15 you need to add more gas the I would need to with 3 the 3.55.
Also does having 20" wheels and 3.15 make me slower then some one with 18" wheels and 3.15?
The 20" wheels are heavy and certainly don't help things. As far as getting the car moving faster a converter would make a huge difference. The stock one is pretty soft and that's why most wil feel the car lugging at times. Not because of the gearing.
