Hello,
I have a problem with a friend’s 2019 Mustang GT.
He had the PCM changed
Now you need to put the gearbox code in the new PCM.
but the garage threw away the old one without recovering the original file.
Ford technical support tells them that the famous code is in the box and you have to open the box to see it.
The garage did it but a number or letter is missing for the asbuilt of the PCM.

An idea of how to tune the engine and gearbox in the PCM?
Forscan would help with that? and how?

This post/thread is probably going to be the most informative for your needs: https://forscan.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=103227#p103227

You can find the ASBUILT information (module settings/configuration) for your VIN here: https://www.motorcraftservice.com/AsBuilt You can then try applying the ASBUILT file you download from Ford to the PCM in ForSCAN, but I can't tell you if this is the only step.

As far as I am aware, dealers use IDS to program new modules, but that isn't something you will have access to without the Ford hardware. You can try to see if a 2-day license to FDRS will work (~$50) and maybe is more user-friendly than ForSCAN's module programming.

Hello,
thank you for the help.
My friend managed to have the box recognized by the PCM by adding a number to chance and with luck it’s good

Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.
