Is this your DD?
I alternate days with a Subaru Outback. Going to possibly pick up a third car (a Scion/Subaru FRS/BRZ) used and beat the hell out of that.

Hilarious thread. I had one of the first mustanks on the road, and live in one of the largest cities, and can attest that very few people give two drops of piss about it. Maybe all the "gawking" is imaginary.....or from people with questionable taste.
You have got to be the most negative person that has ever posted on a car forum. Holy shit.

I live in a city with 5 million plus people for a metro population and I have had my car since Dec'14. People still come up to me and say....they love the car. Ford did an amazing job. Had 2 people come up 4 days ago at the place where I get my haircut and say the exact same thing.

No imaginary gawking here...sorry to burst your pissed off bubble.

Everybody waves where I live in NC. I figured it was either a southern thing or a country club thing. You wouldn't survive in my town if you didn't wave to others.

S550 owners are probably too busy checking out other cars' panel fitment to look up and acknowledge the other drivers' existence.

We also don't fangirl over celebrities. Ive worked at a hotel where we would have big name celebrities come in (we had Steven Tyler, LL Cool J, Rihanna, etc) and no one would bat an eye, not the tourists, and not even the locals. Hawaii is too disconnected from the mainland that people here tend not to care about that sort of stuff. Same goes for cars. People here don't really seem to care about nice cars.

Complete BS. I was stuck in traffic forever because JAY-Z was somewhere around Ala Moana. Crowd was HUGE. Got home saw on the news that was the reason for all that mess.

Ive seen the same mobs following celebrities in Honolulu as anywhere else.

He's the biggest troll on the forum, I would ignore him.

I am still getting a lot of attention to this day. Last weekend in Orlando I left my phone in the car so I went out to get it and while I was walking to my car, a car with a family of at least 5 drove by and every single one of them had their heads turned and looked at my car when they were driving by slowly. It was pretty funny I thought.

My wife was going down the interstate the other day she said a dude was practically hanging out the window checking the car out. I've had a couple people at the gas station tell me nice car.

My car got a LOT of attention up in Toronto when I as visiting my parents, as well as during the 10 hour drive there. But in NYC? Not so much...

I ordered my car and the day it arrived I took it for a quick test drive first thing. The moment I pulled out of the dealership parking lot somebody in the left lane almost completely stopped just to look and give me a thumbs up, I laughed and told the salesman that was riding along "that didn't take long". It's kind of funny to see people out in their yards just stop what they are doing and just stare or even driving by a park and a family sitting at a picnic table almost breaking their neck just to check the car out as I drive by. I don't know how long it'll really take for the gawking to die off, I had my grabber blue 2013 for 2 years and every time I was out and about people still gawked. lol

In SE Michigan I get some looks for my exhaust but S550s are pretty common here so the car itself doesn't get much attention but when I take it back home to central Ohio everyone is head turning as I drive passed. The newest Mustang I ever saw in my hometown was an 06 V6. I get a kick out of all the Civic drivers who try to show off when I'm around.

I enjoy reading these posts. It is nice to see civility still exists among car people. In the 4400 miles and 5 months I have had mine, I have seen exactly one other, and he lives two doors down from me. I took a trip to Minneapolis to see the Auto Show and did not see one other '15 during the 1400+ miles round trip.

The car does generate looks, and I found other cars moving right as I come up on them in the left lane on I-90 at 80 (legal speed).

While entering Mount Rushmore National Monument in March, the woman taking the money and issuing the passes, complimented the car and asked about it.

I am assuming we will see more on the road as Spring gets closer. I enjoy the car and drive it all year, except on really bad days, then we take the Jeep.

now that the weather's getting nice and windows are down, i've been getting "hey man nice ride" when people stop next to you

a few months ago the car stopped traffic because a guy in a tacoma stopped to look even though his turning lane had a green signal.

other than a wave from another GT heading the other way, and another GT at a gas station, and some dude in a pickup breaking his neck on a highway (a buddy told me I didn't see), i don't really see much interest in the car.

perhaps it's because I'm busy driving and not looking around to see who's looking

I have only seen 2 with NV plates, but lost count of out-of-state plates, after all this is
Las Vegas. I do get a lot of waves, but mostly people want to talk about the color of
my car and saying that it don't look like the pictures.
