Is it possible to make the gauge remain the selected color during the day too? I haven't been able to find a way in the settings.

Just drive with your headlights on all the time. I used to be famous for that in my Mustang. Honestly the intimidation factor of the four big headlights and fogs was the main reason why :-) As I said before, people parted like the red sea when I came up quick

You can always just take some black paint and paint over the light sensors for the automatic lights.

A while back, I covered up the sensor on the dash so the gauge color would stay on, rather than reverting to white. The problem for me was that even at the brightest setting, the gauge color (I think I tried it with orange) was not bright enough in full sunlight. Bummed me out b/c I was hoping to keep the nice color on during the day.

If someone tries this method and hits on a color that they think is bright enough during the day, let me know.

Thanks.

Simply turning on your headlights will not turn the color on for your gauges. The sensor must detect the lack of sunlight before it will allow the color gauges.

Ralph is correct. On regular sunny days, the color gauges are not bright enough to see clearly. Hence the white lighted gauges.

I don't think there's such as thing as 'intimidation factor' in car driving....

Heh not for you, for the other drivers. And if you don't think there is, you ain't ever driven an 05 GT with those huge fogs and the four headlights in a row. Like I said, you come up really quick with the V8 roaring, all 4 lights on, and watch how many people get the f out of the way. Heres a clue, it was around 90% in my non scientific testing. Sadly they took away the fogs now, and truth be told they were never as big or intimidating after the 10 refresh, and especially after the HID conversion. But those 05 fogs were something. When those came out there were a grand total of 0 cars with a row of lights like that up front of equal size.
