I can attest that Ira and his lovely wife are wonderful hosts. His Cali Special GT is tip-top.

Thank you George. Really wish you could come to the final Mustang Week next month. It’s going to be a blast!
I would love to be there. With any luck, my 2022 ECO will be built this week. Maybe we can have a M6G meet and greet this fall when it cools down. I hope to do a road trip then to see family in Ohio by way of MB either on the way up or back. My companion still lives in Birmingham.

What you say is 'not realistic' is in use already. If you read what I said, charging for 10 or 15 minutes every 2 or 3 hours of driving is NOT charging from empty to full. That is why I explained that habits need to change for EV's. Not better or worse just different. You can put on around 170 miles in range in 15 minutes or so, 3 hours of driving on the motorway - perfectly reasonable

Tesla superchargers can charge at up to around 300A so not sure what your point is there ????

It takes very little effort to find this stuff out, Tesla supercharger stations have been around for a long time now so the charge rates and the supply requirements for multicharger stations are well understood by those that install them
So quoting myself here to add a little more information on charging sites. A new site in the UK that consists of 4 x 175kW chargers, 4 x 50kW chargers and 30 7kW chargers that can all run at full power at the same time is all run from a single 200kW supply from the grid. It does this because the charge site has PV's on the roof area that trickle charge a 2.5MWh battery pack consisting of old EV car batteries. As we now know these car battery packs live on well beyond the car scrappage and can be used for many years after that. Thus a balanced steady supply can be used, but rapid charging can also occur on demand. Renault now say from their experience with the Renault Zoe that EV car batteries have a 10 to 15 year life above 75% of the original capacity, but of course a second more easy life as a battery storage pack extends that on from there. When they do eventually reach the end of their life facilities such as the new VW site can recycle the rare earth metals.

All this is actually happening in the real world

Right on! I don’t believe a word Greg24 says. He‘s been so wrong on everything he post, especially when it comes to green and Covid!

Hello; Yes, I do recall his posts in the covid portion of that thread. I am locked out of that one so have not followed for months. Wonder if he has yet conceded a natural immunity is just as good as a vaccine immunity?

Hey guys please stick with gas prices. This thread isn’t about EV‘s or Covid. Plenty of other threads for those discussions.

Hello;

Hello; Hey guys please stick to gas prices. This thread isn't about mustang week.
You won’t have posts deleted for Mustang Week. You will for some other stuff. Ask me how I know. Do you really want to get banned from another thread?
