Prices are on the rise again. A short squeeze drove prices crazy but now supply and demand will put prices where they should be. Where that is who knows.

That can't be right. Gas prices have not been below $1.50 a gallon since the 80's as far as I can remember.

Those are wholesale and pre tax prices.

Hello; Back around 1999 there was a period of gas at $1.00/gallon. I recall as i took a job near Wilmington NC and was driving back to KY four or five times a year. Pretty sure I saw 99 cents a gallon for a bit, but right at a dollar for sure.

That is true. I remember any grade 99 cents at Clark stations too around 1999.

$5.63/gal yesterday for 87 octane. This place is the cheapest in 25 miles from where it work. No sign of relief around here.

I gassed up my van in the Chicago Burbs for $3.99 Sunday. E85 for the Mustang is $4.19 though.

e85 is the answer right now out West. My local pump is $3.39.
Ethanol prices are very high right now, because corn is more expensive. Sounds like a great deal in your area.

It's gonna get higher.
The best thing they could do short term is suspend the Fed regs for ethanol blending, but they won't. It's a political cash cow.

Grain prices are going to climb like we haven't seen in 30+ years. Farmers are already pinched (and planting less) because of fertilizer demand vs supply + natural gas supply / prices. Research potash. See what it's used for, and see where the majority of it comes from. This will effect beef / poultry /pork prices (feed) + dairy prices etc etc.

Gonna be short lived for sure.
Have you seen the price of oil per barrel today? It's going up, up.

Not being pessimist, just a realist.
I hear you. Unfortunately there is nothing you, I, or any of us can do about. I'm just grateful that the high cost doesn't affect me in a negative way. I'm still out there driving my Mustang.

Very true.
Nothing us pee-ons can do but pay it or not. Our choice.

Not a worry for the elitist cockroaches though.
