Garmin Catalyst

I'm going to Barber this weekend for the first time and will be using my new Garmin Catalyst for the first time too. I'm a middlin' HPDE intermediate driver on an unfamiliar track... I expect the Catalyst will greatly help me. It will be interesting to compare lap times between my first couple of sessions on Saturday and my last session on Sunday.

Has the Catalyst been a help and made a difference for any of you?

I may review its suggestions after a session mainly out of curiosity. Line change or brake later etc. Of course lap times are easy to check.

You can review the ideal lap which is the goal for a theoretical perfect lap.

I also use the coach via ear buds.

I've used mine for 4yrs it seems. It is always a help, and since it builds its optimum with your existing performance data, they are reachable goals. I don't use the voice coach, but review the 'opportunities' tab in the analysis after each session. It gives 3 clear things to try next time and shows the time benefit possible. Plus the instant video review is great.
