Funny/weird story

I saw a new CO GT in my town on Saturday that I had not seen around before. I was at the Kroger gas station and saw it coming through the parking lot and waved at him and get his attention but he either ignored me or did not see me (I was diving my other car). The light had turned red and he had to stop so I walked over and got his attention and asked him to roll down the passenger side window. I asked if he was from here and he said yes but looked either scared shitless or thought I was a bum and gong to ask him for money and sped off.

A little history / lead in for this: I retired from the Army 5 years ago after 27 years of service and I now teach Army JROTC at one of the local high schools. I had been at the Habitat for Humanity Re-Store all day with some of my students doing some volunteer work and I looked like hell. I was pretty dirty and sweaty, and I probably looked like a bum.

I live in Dickson, Tn. All I wanted to do was say hey nice car, I have one just like it. So to the guy in that car and any others (2 that I have seen) that have a S550 in Dickson, Tn all I was hoping for was to say hi, and talk "stang" someday maybe. I'm not a freak, stalker, or bum. Just a fan of this great car and .....

I have similar experiences - I see more S550's ONLY when I'm not in my Mustang. It's annoying!

Same thing here in Cookeville. Last weekend I saw no less than 5 S550's all but one were GT's with the pp. I was in my fiesta! John, if I'm ever in Dickson I'll be sure and wave back!

I probably would've been nervous too. Out here in DC it only means trouble if someone asks you to open your windows.

In Vegas I would never walk up to someone's car and ask them to roll the window down but there are S550s at every stop light

That's funny I was in my work truck getting fuel and a new gt pulled in behind me and I said nice s550 and he looked at me and said it's not a Mercedes lol. Ps this is my work truck so he probably thought I was an idiot or something

The point is not that I was not in my mustang.....

I approached from the front and got his attention befor I signaled to roll Dow window. Never would I just blindside someone and knock on window. That would equal a .40 cal to the face if done to me.

The point was more about not wanting to acknowledge someone who wanted to talk/admire his stang and to put the shout out to those in Dickson, Tn that there are a couple of us here in town and if they are on here to reach out, unless it is just the car they bought for no special reason other than....

I had actually messaged and threw a post up in the regional threads to a guy that had Dickson as his location. He never came back to me but I see him on the forum.
We are on here to share and talk, not hide. I just don't get it
