Have you tried contacting Fullrace? This is an issue for me because I have a tial bov for my intercooler so I need something to plug the recirc hole.
The real reason? NVH. If the car sneezed every time someone let off the fuel, people would be flocking to the dealerships thinking it was screwed up. Having the system recirculate isn't going to keep the turbo spooled in any significant or measurable way. The stock turbo is tiny and doesn't need help spooling. So that begs the question, why did Ford do a recirc system then?

You can get 1" vacuum caps or furniture/chair feet from somewhere like Lowe's. I forgot and left my cap off once while swapping intakes. I stopped by Lowe's and got a chair foot...problem solved. This is an issue for me because I have a tial bov for my intercooler so I need something to plug the recirc hole.
By the time you'd hydrolock one of the other intakes, you'd already be on top of the car waiting on a boat rescue. None of them are in a position to compromise the engine lol. Thanks for the sound clips! Maybe it's just me but I hear a difference compared to some other CAI systems available. Keeping the filter away from the wheel well to help avoid hydrolock is a big plus too
The clicking noise you're hearing against a wall and such is the High Pressure Fuel Pump (HPFP). It sounds like a diesel, but it's perfectly normal. The intake won't affect that noise. So I've noticed 2 things with mine that may be normal or not - I just don't know this car well enough to say. First, I hear a lot of noise now when I'm near a wall with the windows down (say in a drive thru) that sounds like clicking - is it just the valve noise I've heard that these cars have? And would the intake make that more noticeable? Also - sometimes when I let off the throttle and drop boost, I get a mechanical clacking noise. Are these normal? I can't 100% replicate that last on demand, so I haven't been able to get a video of it yet, but hopefully someone here will know what I'm talking about.
As I've said before, I've had Subaru turbos for the last 11 years, so those are the only sounds I'm really familiar with, lol.
Just installed my intake, now just need to get my intercooler installed!
hey atlas -- please open your intercooler box! The blockoff cap that you are looking for is inside that box, with the tial BOV. feel free to message me with any questionsThis is an issue for me because I have a tial bov for my intercooler so I need something to plug the recirc hole.
I added before and after videos for anyone that was wondering about the sound difference.
this is what your direct injection fuel system sounds like. it is operating at very high pressures, so the clicks are audible. nothing to worry about!Got it today, installed it in about 30 min... First, I hear a lot of noise now when I'm near a wall with the windows down that sounds like clicking
I love mine. Sounds awesome. My gas mileage has gone down 4mpg because I can't stay off the throttle now. pppssshhhhh hihihihihi my new favorite sound.

m4udin - thanks for the bump. We began shipping the first production parts this week. Feedback is excellent so far. We have DP and exhausts finishing production on tues/weds ready for shipping next friday. They will be listed on our website early next week with photos and some sound clips once this production run is completed. I personally love this exhaust, we spent a ton of time tweaking it to get things just right. I hope you guys like it too!*bump*
Any news on the DP and exhaust?
