Put everything back together before i did i threw a little wd 40 in the plug holes bc of the gas wash, turned it over with the plugs out then put everything back together go to start it turned over a few times then said cranking limit exceeded. So i waited til today went out there go to start it and it now wont even turn over just says cranking limit exceeded.

You have to unhook the battery for about 5 min to reset the PCM. Happened to me.

Got it to crank and same deal cranks but won’t start. All those fuses appear to be good.

Now you have to verify spark. Pull a coil, place a spark plug in it. Either hold the plug on a ground point or take a jumper wire and hook it to the ground strap on the plug the other end on a engine ground, intake manifold bolt works. Crank it and see if it is sparking.

Hey guys sorry for the delay so I finally got to work in it today with my father in law we pulled a coil and checked for spark it does have spark, definitely has fuel, all the relays and fuses are good. At this point I’m totally baffled, obviously it’s getting fuel because the plugs were wet (which I pulled them to let it dry out). The only thing of concern I noticed is that when you’re turning it over the fuel pressure goes to 50psi but as soon as you stop it drops off. Other then that I really dont know at this point.

You have fuel and spark, I'll assume you have compression?

Now you need to verify the fuel and spark are at the correct time.

Did you check all plugs for spark? At the very min I'd check 2 on each bank.

I will do a compression check this upcoming weekend. There’s definitely plenty of fuel going by the plugs and as far as spark I just checked 1 cylinder I will check more.

Spark timing not firing correctly?

If you have air, fuel and compression, the timing of the spark is the only other thing that won't allow combustion.

Wire connections, harnesses and connector plugs check.

Did you fully check that the spark plug was sparking?

And ya check compression and let us know

Yes pulled the coil and turned it over with plug in coil and grounded. You really think this is a compression issue? The car was running fine when parked and even with low compression it would run like shit but still run. Seems to me that there’s some sort of electrical issue with the injectors being stuck open which would explain why the fuel pressure is immediately dropping from 50psi to 15psi as soon as I stop turning it over.

The fuel smell leads me to believe that one cylinder isn’t firing properly. Just trying to rule out as many things as possible. Electrical issues are hard to diagnose. Now that spark is fine and fuel is probably fine, check that compression is good. If compression is good then start diving into the fuel more.

Been super busy lately but finally got a chance to look at it today.. Compression is good, crank position sensor is good but I did scan it and some codes came up. I’ve kept the battery on trickle charge so I didn’t think it would be a possible issue but according to this scan it is. Ive wanted to get an antigravity battery so I think im going to pick one up and see if that changes anything. If not the car may be going to a shop.
