It seems like the front wheels are inset a little relative to the front fenders as compared to the back wheels which stick out a little more. Has anybody else noticed this? I wonder why they did it this way. ? Pushing those front wheels out just a little bit to line them up with the front fender curves would have looked pretty good in my opinion.

My best guess - scrub radius reasons.

Ford gives functional considerations a lot more weight than appearance preferences that aren't going to be the same for everybody. They may even have a corporate standard that addresses either scrub radius directly or the downstream effects on subjective handling and the actual 3D envelope of tire movement as you steer that result.

Little noticeable if youā€™re being picky, easy fix too. However, Iā€™d be too busy staring at the wheels to even notice the fitment in this case.

do you know the max spacer in mm that will still work with the front studs? will 12mm (1/2") still fit? just curious.
I do not, but I intend to find out. Although, my car has the ARP extended studs so my results will be different than both the base & CFTP cars.

ok. are the ARP ext studs longer than the OEM CFTP ones? i spoke with OP Mustang and he said he wasnt sure you could put any spacer on the front CFTP wheels bc he didnt know if the studs were long enough.

All good questions. I have not heard of anyone measuring the stock CFTP studs, but they are longer than the base studs. I do not know the length, and I will not know the length of the ARP studs until I measure them. I "think" the ARP studs are longer the CFTP, but we won't know until we get measurements.

I wouldnā€™t be against the spacer for putting around town but if I was going to hit Sebring I would definitely take it off.

Definitely. As mentioned above, I would want it back to engineered specs for those purposes.

Hereā€™s a pix of long ARP studs installed on a GT350 front hub and a stock GT500 CFTP front hub:

Looks like 2.5ā€ and 2.375ā€ threaded respectively without using my caliper.
I run a 5mm spacer on the front.

Thanks for that  I plan to use either a 5mm or 7mm.
