New DiodeDynamics DRL Boards are available by the end of the week :

Good news! Finally after about one year after EU Mustangs is out, some """professional""" comes out with this product :)

The white LED lights up in a bright DRL and dims down at night for a running light.
Wonder where they got this great idea... ;)

DRL mode bright enough to see during day

$160, wow! I bought the switchbacks mentioned in the other thread on ebay fĂĽr $30, even though they have no dim function (but it shouldn't be that hard to wire a relais that it runs through a resistor when parking light is on)

I would be curious to compare brightness (or power consumption) of these and the one I have installed - like we have seen some time ago in a nice video.

About price, for us non-US guys again it should not be cheap: 160$ + shipping + custom fees + installation = some 4-500 eur maybe?
Probably the hardest part will always be find someone willing to open mustang headlights.

Oh my bad. How did I think these were switchbacks :headbonk:

I will still get "the other" solution for the tribars, so when an error occurs I'm not ruined since I can't open the lights by myself :gossip:

Actually you are right, these are 'switchback', meaning that they 'switch' between drl and turning lights :)

Of course. Guess in my head I always link the word switchbacks with the switchbacks for the turning light :D

With both solutions, if you have a problem with the LED's, you have to open the headlights again to solve it.

If you have a driver problem (like I had), then you don't need to open the headlights (if you don't put them in the lights...)

Yeah, but the DD support is only able to handle the LEDs (so you need a third party to open them), while the all in one solution also manages to open the lights. :)

Yes, that's also true :D
The all-in-one solution is the easiest way to go.

But you also can buy DD's LED and ship them to the third party to mount them inside the lights and you can save few cents :)
