In my opinion, led tribar is a 2x 'wow' factor.
Ford did a great job designing it and a poor job removing from EU version.

We can blame people seating in Brussels, not Ford. It's all about crazy EU regulations.

Do the original drl light bulb is just removed? No error light? Looks better without it idd
I removed the original DRL bulbs for a long time now without any error on the dash.
I removed the whole EU fog light and I installed the US fog light.

You are right, but come on they are FORD, one of the biggest car company in the world, they can sort out things in some way!

I can confirm that, no errors and no resistor needed.

I also disconnected the original parking lights. Those I replaced with the resistors that carniggia provided. Again no problem and no error message.

Finished !!! :headbang:

Damn, it was a LONG installation night
In the picture the three leds seem to blend into one, instead of being three distinct bars, does it look like that in real life or is it just the way the picture was taken?

Picture gets crazy with led lights, in real they are separate. Also they looks in picture much brighter than they are i think.

That's true, I checked them today in daylight, and ... I can't figure out if they are ON or OFF, and for sure they were ON !! :frusty:

They really don't have enough power to drive them as DRL ...

No, had a talk with the guys by diode dynamics and it's true, the lights are not really bright, They made them for a cosmetic view as DRL are not mandatory in the US.

Caniggia told me the same about the brightness when he got the boards.

I'll live with that as I've another project for a switchback solution, so that will be my second DRL then.
