Found fronts at 19.5lbs, or 14lbs a wheel in the what things weigh thread, so likely at least 40lbs counting the rears.
Which fronts are they which weigh 19.5lbs, that is very light, AP, Stop Tech and Audi R8 ones are all 22.5-24.5lbs.

Aerospace Lightweight. Need to do some research on durability and caliper type but the price is in the ballpark.

Ah not interested, they are not upto the task for my intended cars use, if your drag racing they are great but my car is driven hard on the street and see's circuit driving, I need to have strong brakes. :)

Hence the research. What I've seen so far is that 22lbs is about as low as you can go and still have enough brake to flog them for any extended period of time.

Anything from AP / Audi will be more than upto the job. AP build brakes for race cars, you will be safe. I've run AP and Alcon on my M3, superb brakes and I've done far to much track/circuit work and never had an issue with their pads and rotors. :)

2x 9lbs is 18lbs buddy. ;)

I doubt there is as much saving on the rear, maybe around 5lbs.

Yes the Audi is 5x112 vs our 5x114.3 but to change 5x112 to 5x114.3 on the rotor is not impossible, just need to be creative with a drill. As long as centre bore of our rotors and R8 rotors is the same this could work.

I am tempted to try and find a knackered R8 rotor to do a test fit because if these fit they are half the price of the AP's.
Very interesting!

Yea, AP makes great stuff. But like everything else, I'll want to change everything. $$$$. The more I research the more I spend and at the end of the day it's still a Mustang.

Once you heat soak the rotor (more mass will take longer to soak), you're then dependant on cooling. The AP's seem better at cooling from what I hear and from the looks of the design. I'd love to get a pair.

Haven't seen this one yet. Price is tolerable. Wonder how they hold up to an angry driver?
Girodisc have a good reputation in the UK and are on race cars, should be a good choice. :)

Baer Eradispeed is also an option. Fronts are ~10lbs lighter and the rears are ~6lbs lighter. The fronts aren't available yet (even though CJ Pony Parts has an install video for them?) but American Muscle just added the rears and have them in stock.

They are pricey but pretty much on par with the other options already mentioned. $995 for the fronts and $695 for the rears.

One thing to keep in mind with 2-piece rotors (aluminum hats) is that a floating design is superior to a fixed hat. On the Baers for instance, the hat is fixed to the rotor with machine screws. This design won't allow the two metal compounds to expand at different rates. Ideally the connectors would float in slots. Probably not that much of an issue on the street - but could be if you track aggressively. Something like this:

Lol Baer is far from on par with the other 2 piece options out there.

Baer is pure trash, especially for the racing environment.

Me and many other Evo owners experienced sever cracks with their discs at the race track.

After that I went with giros is which was much better but they just didn't last.

Finally I went with AP discs and have had no regrets. They are superior in every way and I can guarantee that you won't regret your purchase.

Also some of you may know of places where you can drive a Ferrari, Porsche, Lamorghini etc at the race track for a few laps. Most of those organizations switched from girodisc to AP discs due to how often the giro discs had to be replaced!
