I am going to be taking my car in after 4/2 to have the trunk latch release replaced, I am going to show him the screenshot Sonia put up to see if this was replaced when they tried to find my front end noise, if they did (almost sure they did), I will keep everyone posted.

Did you get the repair paper to make sure? That sucks, I'm sorry. If 1 more thing happens to mine I'm getting rid of it. They had to replace the back window motors in mine at 42,000 miles recently. It's just been a hassle with this car

Well minor things dont bother me, but overall mine has been solid, but this thing will not let me rest but its been checked so many times and said there is no safety issue so I'll keep mine, but my attorney is on standby if ever anything happens because of this issue seriously, then I'll own Ford.

This was what they replaced on mine and it did stop doing it for about 6 months. At that time they also replaced the yolk assembly.

I decided to give it another try but this time I did it myself and only replaced the parts listed on that receipt. Total parts cost was around $110 with tax included. Also I was able to find and apply the required torque on each bolt.

Just tested the car and the noise is gone once again! Hopefully it stays that way this time!

Not trying to open up sore wounds, but did you ever get anywhere with this? I have a 2022 and a 2020. The 20, which was run harder over the years, makes the clunk, the 22 doesn't.

Got under both cars and had someone wiggle the wheel back and forth. The first video is the 2020, which has the front end clunk. The second video is the 2022 which doesn't. You can clearly hear more loose/wear noise, but I'm not sure of the exact source. Rack, steering shaft, connection between the two?

Your not opening old wounds, I gave up when the dealership & Ford cant figure it out thats what Attorneys are for if/and when some bad happens to go after them, as of right now its well documented and there is ZERO chance I would do a buy back and lose out on this car. This car has been looked at umpteen times everything is solid no wear to your question, and your videos are clearly not what this issue is, you live in North NJ I live in South NJ, when the weather warms up and you want to meet and see first hand exactly how to replicate this we can meet up, and maybe I can make yours do this or not, but your videos are not the sounds nor the actual way to make the sound appear.

I hear you. Wasn't suggesting that is the actual noise in the video.

The actual noise I'm getting happens when I back up out of my garage or wherever, with the wheel turned all the way to the right, then turn it to the left and pull forward to pull away. I get an audible clunk in that general area. The videos I posted was just me chasing the noise to see if there was some difference in the car that clunks and the one that doesn't.

Yea, when thinks thaw out, let's do that.
