I’m sure this is asked a lot. But I’m still trying to find the coding needed to add in the mode switches within the 2021 GT Base model. Dealer switched radio from ‘4 to ‘8 and now I have a toggle switch that doesn’t do anything. I have read numerous posts about how you need to use forscan to switch some stuff around but I don’t want to get into forscan and mess something up. The dealer is months behind and I can’t leave my car to sit while waiting on them to fix it. Anyone have any ideas on the coding to fix this?

Welcome to the Forum.

Buy the forscan. The info on activating the switches shouldn't be hard to find. Forscan has a lot of cool stuff you can do. I am just getting into it.

I have forscan, and couldn’t find where to change to get the mode activation. I’m about to tune it so I figured it’s probably safer without it at this point.

Hey, welcome to the forum!

Follow this thread, it's very helpful and many members have used it to enable drive modes. I did this mod/upgrade on a '19 GT and it was pretty simple, just make a backup of the values, and or take pictures of the screens in ForScan so you can reverse things if need be. I don't know if there are any changes for the '21. Someone else might be able to advise you there. Good luck!

Just an FYI, the Forscan changes listed in that post are only part of the changes that really need to be done. Yes those changes will get the modes working but it won't be complete. There were at least 3-4 more lines of Forscan that got changed in addition to whats mentioned. Also from my understanding that thread was 2019-2020 and there were a few changes for 2021-2022. You want to head over to the Forscan forums and ask them.
