Boost itself isn't though... I have 25psi, you have 11psi. Which car has more HP..?Boost is absolutely an indicator of performance. If the car picks up 100 HP with a 3 psi gain how is that not relevant. Inquiring minds want to know. Its not until you go beyond and outside a turbo/engine efficiency range that you need to worry about restriction overcoming the performance benefits associated with added boost. That's why we rely on turbo maps to build our engine turbo combos.
One would have to know what two ENGINES we are talking about. So boost itself is an indication of how much pressure is on the engine, not how well it can handle/use that boost effectively.
