Putting the price aspect aside, is there any mechanical or software difference between Roush and FP supercharger kits? I couldn't figure out any real difference, but that's just looking at specs and pictures quickly.
Ford performance kit is the same as the phase 1 kit. The Roush phase 2 kit has the higher hp rating at 750.

It does not have to be a Roush dealer that installs the supercharger. Do yourself a favor and buy the roush phase 2 supercharger. It is definitely the better buy.
I believe you're wrong about that.

Tks for the info. Would need to find a ASE certified that has done the install before. Dealer advised they have a Roush trained master mechanic that does the supercharger installs. Car won't be in for a couple months, enough time to do more research.

Under warranty coverage it states. Installed by a certified Ford automotive technician or automotive service technician certified by the institute for automotive service excellence (ASE)

That's what I initially thought as well, but looking at the kit description, power/torque seem to be in line with Phase 2 now: https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-6066-M8
Though the power graph is still from "Phase 1"🤷‍♂️

I personally went for FP kit as the dealer financed it along with the car at 1.5%. Cashing out the full amount at once would have been much harder decision. Still waiting to get it installed as it's not yet CARB approved for 2021 and not allowed for installation in Canada, go figure why.. the car is still a blast even NA, so the wait is fine for now.

Nice, looks like they now have the same power rating. This wasn't the case when I bought mine. I can understand wanting to finance the cost though. The mustang is a very fun car to drive even in stock form. I only had mine stock for about 900 miles when my kit was installed. It is much more fun to drive now!

Not for 2021, that's what I heard from 2 dealers and FP customer support themselves, all contacted independently last week. Even the link says 2018-2020. And this is from Roush phase 2 page:

**2021 Model Year NOT approved for sale or installation in the state of California**

Nice, looking forward to it as well. I thought that at 1.5% and warranty preserved it's a no brainer, so I decided to go for it. Glad I did just in time before this whole new car supply bs.

That is incorrect. I have the 2021 version installed. The dealer had to wait for the tune from Roush until it was CARB compliant. My car sat on the lot for almost 3 weeks waiting for the approved tune.

I ordered mine last year in March the week before Ford shut down because of covid19. I didn't get my car until June almost July. I already had the supercharger before I had the car lol.

Turns out a good friend of mine has contacts in the service dept of my local ford dealer and the dealer has a small group of ASE certified mechanics that specialize in supercharger and other mods. He said they are really good...I am waiting to get more details on when my car will be in production and when thats confirmed I am going to order the kit.

Let us know how the build goes and how much you enjoy it. Also would like to see the bottom line on the install price as well.
