Yeah I agree, not worth it.... to save what 50lbs or so??

I want it. Mostly because if I put the front seat in a comfortable position the seatback compresses against the front edge of the rear seat. Not a huge deal but it restricts the cooling in the seatback. I don't want my back to get sweaty on hot days!

I'm also hoping to pay a little less. For $885 I can handle a less comfortable seating position or a sweaty back!

Chances are the price point will be lower through auto nation white bear lake. As in most cases you get what you pay for.
I talked to them today and they said $750 IIRC (I should have written it down). They also said shipping might be expensive. The guy I talked to estimated $170. They should start receiving them around the end of May and then they will have a better estimate on the cost for shipping. I'm local to them so I don't need shipping.

So $920 with shipping for 40-50 lbs? Just stay away from Mc Donalds and Starbucks for a few months. Less weight, save money, be healthier, go faster.

Yeah, weight savings would not be enough reason to swap it IMO. If someone can lose 40-50 pounds - they should do it right away. That's a lot of extra weight to carry!

:) Well I felt lucky when the guy said that, but I'm sure your local dealer can give you a better deal than their price + shipping on such a large and awkward package.

for anyone local to the bay area (for easy pick up), I'll likely be selling mine. I have a rollbar in the back now and don't think I'll be putting this back in. pm me.

I have a rear seat delete kit that was removed from my R so I could install rear seats (and use the car more with my kids now). Info about is is already in this thread, about 35lbs weight savings, looks nice, and OEM price is over $900. I'll list it here in classifieds for $550 OBO and buyer pays shipping.

OEM ad for comparison: https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-6346612-M . It's basically 2 pieces with 3 screws to install. I will provide the installation instructions provided with my rear seats so you can reverse follow to remove items. Took me about 2.5 hours to DIY to put the rear seats in, but imagine taking them out would be faster, especially since I'm not the best mechanic.

MikeR397 - I sent you a PM re just the package shelf. Hopefully, you can turn this into a bit more money if you sell the two separately.
